We reaffirm our unconditional support for the Cuban Revolution as it faces the gravest crisis in its history at the hands of US imperialism. The restoration of capitalism in Cuba would be a defeat not just for the Cuban working class, but for workers across the world. The best way we can help the Cuban Revolution is by fighting resolutely for the overthrow of our own capitalist ruling class at home, which is itself subservient to Western imperialism. Long live the Cuban Revolution! Workers of the world, unite! #cuba #marxism #socialism #rci #revolution by @belfastcommunists
Packed room for our Day School on Saturday — Ireland: from Conquest to Re-conquest. We had excellent discussions about the Cromwellian Conquest of Ireland, the Rebellion of 1798, and finally, the struggle for a United Ireland today. All the sessions demonstrated that only the scientific method of Marxism is capable of understanding the real processes that have shaped Irish history for 800 years. Like Connolly, we study our history not as an academic exercise, but in order to understand the lessons it holds for today's revolutionaries. If you are ready to join us in the fight for a Socialist United Ireland in our lifetime, then head to communism.ie/join today to get organised! #rci #marxism #socialism #connolly #revolution by @belfastcommunists
On Saturday we held our biggest meeting ever! With 71 tickets sold, our day school on Irish history was a spectacular success. As the flames of revolt spread across Europe, there's no task we can dedicate ourselves to that's more pressing than that of building the forces of revolutionary communism here in Ireland and, in doing so, raising our understanding of the rich revolutionary traditions that the Irish working class inherits today. If you want to join us in this work, then head to communism.ie/join to learn how you can get involved! For a 32-county Workers Republic in our lifetime! #rci #socialism #marxism by @belfastcommunists

Our public meeting today - ‘Preparing for Revolution!’ - has been moved from the Student Union to the Peter Froggatt Centre. Are you disgusted by the sectarian provocation at Drumcree; angry at the lackeys in Stormont, Westminster, and the Dail; sick of Trump and the rest of the Epstein class? Do you think we need a revolution? Then join us at 18:00 and get involved!🚩🚩 by @belfastcommunists
On the morning of Sunday 27 September, it seemed the North stood on the brink of the abyss. As the Orange Order was gearing up for a march down the Garvaghy Road, loyalists gathered in Portadown city centre to welcome them. Thousands of residents from the mainly nationalist area, meanwhile, linked arms to blockade the sectarian parade from marching through their street. The ghosts of Drumcree had returned. You can read the full article on communism.ie or in the upcoming issue of our newspaper, the Revolutionary Communist. To pick up a copy, you can visit communism.ie/subscribe to purchase a physical/digital subscription or you can stop by one of our many stalls taking place across Ireland throughout the week! #rci #drumcree #garvaghyroad #portadown #marxism by @belfastcommunists
FIGHT FOR SOCIALIST REVOLUTION 🫵🏻 The world is in a profound crisis. The capitalist system has no way out. Burdened with debt, overproduction and imperialist war – all the ruling class can offer to the masses is war, poverty, oppression, ruthless exploitation, climate devastation and endless misery. Ireland is caught in the crossfire of imperialist infighting between Britain, Europe and America pushing Irish capitalism ever closer to a cliff edge. Each economic shock threatens to plunge it towards destruction. Meanwhile the North of Ireland descends further into destitution under the special crisis of British capitalism. But there is a solution. SOCIALIST REVOLUTION! The working class of Ireland, and internationally, holds its hands on the levers of production. Using its power, it can grind this system to a complete halt. Along with this power, it must organise in its own interests – in the fight for communism. 🚩🚩🚩 This is the only way forward! We must fight for the world socialist world revolution! ✊✊✊ Join us on Thursday to discuss how you can help to make it a reality. All are welcome, and bring a friend. We have a world to win! ✊😊 Event Details — 6pm Thursday, October 1st Queen's University Student Union Anne Maguire Room, Third Floor.
