Ash,

I struggle to write these words as there is simply nothing that will ever do justice to describe the person you were and the impact you had on me and everyone around you. You were the strongest most selfless person I know and you proved this up until your final moments. You would do absolutely anything for the people you loved and how lucky am I to be your little sister.

You gave me strength, courage and a vision to aspire to be bigger than my wildest dreams. You would always say ‘Keep going Bell. There is so much to look forward to. There is so much to be grateful for’. You had this profound ability to focus on the positives no matter what life would throw at you.

You were in the best place. You were happy in who you were, you felt safe in the friendships you had around you and you had a little family of your own. A piece of my heart is gone knowing you were robbed of your happily ever after.

Thank you for being the light in my life. Thank you for being my biggest cheerleader in every way. Thank you for encouraging me to do what makes me happy, to live life with no regrets. Thank you for simply being you. I wish I could tell you just one more time how grateful I am for you.

Until we meet again, I promise I will do my best to make you proud and make sure your baby girl knows how incredible her beautiful Mumma was. The world was a better place with you in it. You are a hero. You are our hero.

My heart is broken. A life without you in it is one I cannot bare to face however I know your presence will forever be in our hearts, minds and in the stories we tell. I will forever be grateful for the relationship we had and the bond we shared.

I love you so much. I will meet you at sunrise. 🌅

For all the amazing moments I got to experience over the weekend at the Gold Coast Marathon this one needed some special shine.

This hug with @belgood_ was the first time I’d stopped talking all weekend because I sound terrible when I’m crying.

It’s been more than two years since Ash, Bel’s beautiful sister, my brother’s amazing partner and my running buddy was taken from us in the Bondi Junction tragedy.

Seeing Bel on the blue carpet in her “Run For Ash” top moments and metres away from completing her first marathon in memory of Ash was inspiring and heartbreaking all at once.

We all only get one go round at this and you never know how long you’re gonna get. So don’t wait for a reason to challenge yourself, just go do it.

RUN FOR ASH ‘26 🩷🧡💛

There are no words to express how grateful I am for the people who showed up to honour our beautiful @_ashgood_

I will never stop telling her story, doing things like this to honour her and showing up as the best version of ourselves. For her.

To my girls (WFGY 🤪) I can’t explain how much you all mean to me. My brother @sam_good you’re the best human on this planet and don’t you ever forget it. To @turbotommmy, @haydenueckerman, @jamesseit & @bennycrockerr_ thank you for showing up today and always. The Goods, The O’Mahoneys & The Flanagans, I’m so bloody proud of us all.

And finally, @catheryntp @heycatheryn thank you for helping me reimagine the logos. This wouldn’t have been possible without you!!

Crossing that finish line and hugging @liamjflanagan was such a special moment for me to top it all off.

Show up for yourself and for the people you love. Life is short so live with no regrets and do what makes you happy. AND TELL YOUR PEOPLE THAT YOU LOVE THEM!!
