While working on @belief_defect - Desire and Discontent, we felt a compelling need to challenge ourselves by integrating acoustic instruments into our digital framework. The first person we thought of for a collaboration was our old friend, the exceptionally skilled drummer and electronic music producer @merlin_ettore , aka @sorcery_music . His ability to seamlessly fuse raw acoustic percussion with harsh electronic textures made him the perfect counterpoint to our vision.

Merlin’s live performances are a relentless display of polyrhythmic intensity, leaving a profound, almost visceral impact. His impeccable timing and flawless sense of rhythm are a testament to his mastery as a drummer — his inner clock is unparalleled. His command of both acoustic drums and analog machinery added a weight and complexity to our work that was the much-needed addition we were looking for. He contributed drums to Void State, injecting the track with an escalating, almost feverish tension that was essential to the song’s final breakdown. Although processed samples of his drums can be heard throughout the album, his presence as a live performer also anchors the opening track, The Difference Between Objects, where his percussion weaves a darker, more menacing energy into the fabric of the album.

BELIEF DEFECT - DESIRE & DISCONTENT is out NOW on @rastermedia . Special edition vinyl pre order for north America coming soon, EU edition is available for pre order now via Rasters @bandcamp : Streaming available at all outlets.

Last year, @l.flores.mx and myself @drumce11 carved out a significant amount of time to contribute music under our project name @beliefdefect to an upcoming FPS game set in a cyberpunk dystopian future.

It was an honor to collaborate with @emptyvesselplay on this project. It’s been an inspiring and creatively challenging platform to produce for. Their team is an incredible collective of game designers pushing boundaries and breaking new ground in the world of first person shooter games.

We couldn’t be more proud to part of it and contribute the audio to set the mood.

The game will be releasing soon on @steamgamingofficial , with consoles releases to follow. Looking forward to sharing more very soon.

We would like to congratulate everyone behind the film ‘The Six Billion Dollar Man’ on the Golden Globe recently awarded 🏆

Their commitment to bringing Julian Assange’s struggle into the light is something to be learned from. We are more than proud to have contributed to the cause.

It is not often that artist like us, can contribute directly to further the fight against state oppression.

A huge thank you to Eugene Jarecki and the entire team for trusting us and believing in our music to help tell this story. Winning a Golden Globe for Best Documentary is no small feat, and we’re truly overwhelmed with pride and inspiration to have taken part in this film.

Yesterday, while looking for festivals to submit my new videoclip to, I stumbled upon a truly unexpected and exciting discovery: Unnatural Instinct, the video I co-directed with Giampaglia Matteo, for Belief Defect (drumcell & Luis Flores) and released on Raster, was selected as one of the Top 4 Best Experimental Music Videos in the history of the Berlin Mva (Berlin Music Video Awards) in the category BEST EXPERIMENTAL – BLAST FROM THE PAST.

A huge thank you to Berlin MVA for this recognition (which I discovered almost by chance!), to Belief Defect for their music, to Raster for supporting the project, to Matteo for such an inspiring collaboration, and to Rossella Catanese who, while working with me on the submission of the new videoclip, was the first to spot this news.
