26 books for 2026 📖

Alright!! I’ve finally compiled a list of 26 books I want to read in 2026. The majority of these are books from my own shelves. A huge goal of mine is to read books I already own! A few are my highly anticipated releases coming out later in the year. And the rest are books that have been on my tbr for a little while or on my Netgalley account.

I’m hoping I’ll get a chance to read all of them before the year ends. Do you see any that I need to start right away? 👀 by @bella.and.the.bookstack

happy national coming out day 🌈

This is a super personal and quite emotional post from me today. But I literally would be nowhere without these books. Today, I’m sharing some of the books that helped me understand my identity, feel so seen, and helped me come out. 🥹

I always struggled with identity but through these books, finding community, and being surrounded by people who see me for me; I was able to discover so much about myself. It’s so important for everyone to be able to have access to books like this. The biggest thank you to all of these authors for writing these stories.

To everyone who’s already come out, still on their own journey, or just being. You’re so special. 🫶🏼 by @bella.and.the.bookstack

October 4-10 is banned book week. Access to books is crucial to fostering environments for people to learn, see themselves, and expand their viewpoints.

Books should never be banned, but so many books are being challenged and banned each year. Take a look at @americanlibraryassociation and @penamerica for more resources and information! Help prevent book banning!

Here are 12 banned book recs:

Clap When You Land
Pet
All Boys Aren’t Blue
The Hunger Games
The Poet X
The Hate U Give
Heartstopper
Cinderella is Dead
The Sunbearer Trials

nightmare before christmas tag 🎃

It’s almost time for one of my favorite months of the year!!! We’re so close to October, so here’s a little tag inspired by the Nightmare Before Christmas! Tagging anyone who sees this and wants to join!

nightmare before christmas tag 🏷️

☠️ jack skellington: a character that goes through a lot of self-exploration- Meilin from The Night Ends with Fire. Throughout the book, she goes on a journey of discovering who she is.

😯 what’s this?: a book with a surprise twist- Witchlore! Super surprised by a lot of the plot twists!

🪡 sally: a strong FMC- I love a strong FMC! One that popped into my mind is Mira from To Steal a Throne! You should definitely go read it!

🍂 halloween town: a book that feels like fall- Legends & Lattes!! This book is the coziest little book. It instantly makes me want to curl up with a blanket and a cup of coffee.

🐾 zero: a book with an animal companion- Otis from Before I Let Go! I loved that dog so much.

🎃 holiday doors: a book that takes place during a holiday- Merry Inkmas by Talia Hibbert! Such a fun novella!

🍭 trick or treat: a book that you loved but also made you cry- A Love Like the Sun!! A forever favorite 😭
