Getting baptized on Easter felt like God’s way of reminding me that He really does bring things back to life, including faith I thought I had lost. I’ve had seasons where I drifted, questioned, and tried to do everything on my own, but somehow He kept pulling me back with a love that never changed.

“We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death… so that we too may live a new life.” — Romans 6:4

Today I stepped into the water surrounded by my family, the people who have prayed for me, encouraged me, and loved me through every chapter. Getting to get baptized with my best friend was an experience I will never forget.

Walking out of that water, I felt lighter, steadier, and more myself than I have in a long time. I’m reclaiming my faith, my peace, and the hope that only Jesus gives. This is my new beginning. taken in Fairfax Church by @bella_munz

My best friend, my forever twin, and one of the greatest gifts God ever placed in my life. You were the most incredible Grammy I could ever dream of; pure love, pure joy, pure blessing. You amazed me every single day. What a beautiful, extraordinary life you lived, reaching 100 years with a heart full of grace, humor, and strength.

I will miss our Premiere Pizza trips, your warm and comforting hugs, your dancing that always made me laugh, and the way we’d sneak food to the dogs together like it was our little secret. I’ll miss our Starbucks runs, our dinners, and our Heartland binge nights that felt like home. Every moment with you was a treasure.

Your faith shaped me in ways I’ll carry forever. The way you loved God; devoted, gentle, unwavering; guided me toward my own relationship with Him. You lived your faith so beautifully, and it changed me.

I know you’re in heaven now, surrounded by your sisters, whole and joyful, and I know you’re snuggling Gertie again. That brings me peace, even as my heart aches for you. I will love you for the rest of my life, and I will miss you with every part of me.
