Every girl’s wish is to be a “ daddy’s girl” well at least for years mine was, but some wishes don’t become reality! For years I used to be bitter , blame him for my detachment issues or found myself comparing lowkey envying girls who had great relationships with their dad! It took a while to be able to fully forgive my dad for his absence because we’re soo much alike yet different in so many ways!! My dad has always kept in contact with me whether it be through letters, phone calls, or through family, but a PRESENT FATHER is what I’ve always wanted! I could literally count on 1 hand how many times I’ve got to hug and kiss my dad , but I won’t let the past detour the future! I thank God for my mom for making me the woman I am today because boy I know it was tough doing it alone! I would also like to thank God for working on my heart/mental to create room for the future! We can’t make up or dwell on the past so I can honestly say NOW, I’ve forgiven him and look forward to a future with a clean slate! I love this man and I pray that he loves himself just as much, I pray that he realizes the love he has and doesn’t take it for granted!!!
