Hei Hei! Velkommen tilbake til Bellabopsaround 😊 In true Norwegian fashion bellabopsaround went on a bit of a highbernation through the winter but now that spring is here I feel like Norway, and myself have lit up again. Don’t let the pictures fool you…winter here was exactly as everyone told me - dark, cold, filled with dinner parties, and slightly sprinkled with some sunny ski days. I will admit that Erling and I took down our Christmas star just last week, don’t judge us - my star gave me joy. Enjoy some of my favorite moments or not so favorite moments from this winter. * moving from smør hjem - bout broke my heart * we lived at hafjell as much as possible for hytte trips * a visit to the hospital * an adhd inspired camping trip by erling * aerial yoga * dnt cabin trip * erling and i’s 6 year anniversary where we acted like we had way more money than we do * watching my gorgeous cousins wedding via facetime More bopping around updates to come 💛 taken in Norway by @bellabopsaround

A bit of a different post to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Norway 🎄✨ So incredibly grateful for this move, @erlingnygard who has been my rock through all of this, the friends and family that have celebrated this holiday season with us, and of course my family back home that is readily available for any homesick call. Feeling so good heading into this New Year. Resolutions include eating less sugar (Norwegian diet has truly rubbed off of me), consistently minimize screen time, learn a fun new skill, and appreciate my health every step along the way. Updates ~ If you participate in pen pals don’t send any letters for now b/c we move in our new apt in 7 days!! So hold, and i’ll get a new address soon. Also contemplating an email newsletter, my speedy typing can fit a lot more thoughts in than a postcard. taken in Norway by @bellabopsaround

Velkommen tilbake til Bellabopsaround 😊 🕺🏼⏰ Quick Notes… * i spend a lot of time at carls, tried their hot chocolate and it’s truly the best * you have to pay 50 cents to vote on norwegian dancing with the stars * being in a car is nice * stopped at espaboller, twice. helping them reach their goal of selling 2.1 million boller in 2025 🌍👀 Where I bopped around 12.08-12.16… ❄️ Hafjell * there aren’t many snowboarders here * everyone’s a decent skier * chicken stew lunch and dinner 3 days in a row * i crushed the kiddy t bar * cross country skied for the first time, 7/10, working on my fiskebein * we enjoyed having cable again 🎄 Lillehammer * hallmark christmas movie type christmas market * saw our first carolers * random lady bought us doughnuts, delish. 🌱🫶🏼 Up Next… * erling’s last final tomorrow, everyone wish erling luck! * an adopted style christmas * back to the cabin * thinking of starting a mailing newsletter in the new year taken in Hafjell by @bellabopsaround

Velkommen tilbake til Bellabopsaround 😊 🕺🏼⏰ Quick Notes… * i haven’t seen a cat * norwegian @burgerking_norway is great and our cheapest meal * 2 friendsgiving meals, both so so delicious * my other meals have been quite strange * facetiming family for tree decoration * erling passed his 1st final! Everyone congratulate erling! * detach december - lowering my screen time * $7 canned peas 🌍👀 Where I bopped around 11.27-12.07… 🏙️Oslo * Went to the highly recommended @waydownsouthoslo American styled restaurant. amazing meat but the tater tots needed some tweaking. * Lots of long walks through the city * Visiting a lot of graveyards, some grace stones are 15 ft high, a bit spooky and obnoxious * Went to the @saltartmusic christmas market. Good local vendors and nice to sit by the fires. Always a good vibe. 🦐 Ulvøya * Probably one of my favorite little local islands I’ve explored so far * Great beach’s, high dive, and saunas * Lots of tree houses 🌱🫶🏼 Up Next… * Hafjell cabin for a long ski weekend * More Erling finals * Getting back into the groove with learning the language * Eating less ice cream * finishing our rewatch of harry potter taken in Oslo, Norway by @bellabopsaround

Velkommen tilbake til Bellabopsaround 😊 🕺🏼⏰ Quick Notes… * christmas is right at nov. 1st, milk, chips, everything is christmas themed * i made veggie pot pie * my norwegian language course got interesting a week before it ended * no bless yous and pleases here * signed our next apartment * a friend knitted me the coziest cutest sweater, thinking about knitting now? * realization that i haven’t driven a car in over 3 months * I don’t think Norwegians sneeze * colder = clearer skies * took a massive fall on the treadmill, skid marks on my face bad * there are terrain parks at city parks * saw wicked for good. 6/10 * sun rises at 8:45am and sets at 3:25pm * i’m starting to speak celsius * norwegian ads are elite 🌍👀 Where I bopped around 11.11-11.26… 🏙️ Oslo * cocktails at @chairgrunerlokka, best gin & tonic yet * saw @royelotis in concert * tried out @handbaktoslo. Nice place to work on the weekdays but didn’t think they’re bolle was anything too special * found my absolute favorite pastry, a cardamom morning bun from @mjolbakeri * lunch at @babbocollective was amazing. I got a white bean stew, definitely needed some bread on the side. * went to my first hockey game here @vifhockey they don’t serve alcohol but the polse is cheap. norwegians seem like kind hockey players which is very fitting * I bought a snowboard on their version of facebook marketplace @finn_no. it’s not much better than a plank of wood but it was only 700 NOK and it has a sick design. * hit the christmas market quickly @julivinterland. Super festive * taking the ferry over to some nearby islands for walks 🌱🫶🏼 Up Next… * Thanksgiving tomorrow, yes we’re having a traditional meal * Ski trip to Hafjell * Erling’s finals taken in Oslo, Norway by @bellabopsaround

If you see the numbers 368 send me good juju * I spent $45 on ingredients for pumpkin bread and it turned out inedible (see last picture) * I have a Fall bucket list. Needs to be quick turnaround with this weather 🌍👀 Where I bopped around 10.08-10.18… 🏙️ Oslo * got our first bagel @bobthebagel.oslo . Crazy it was our first time here since we are just up the road. True NY bagel. * Have been running past @artbaroslo for awhile now and finally picked a night to go, great vibe, much needed outdoor heaters, and fine priced beer * Went to @perla_bar for a gin & tonic. This place is a hit to quite a few people b/c it was packed at 6pm * Finally tried the highly anticipated @timwendelboe . Truly delicious coffee but don’t plan on staying and sitting there. * Fall bucket list included a pumpkin spice latte, could only find one at @mcdonalds … so thanks Mcdonalds. 🌷 Drøbak * travelled an hour to @haneborg.gard for a pumpkin * Also shopped around in Drøbak, one of my favorite little coastal towns so far * Had a chai latte and sandwich from @haandverksbakeriet.official . Velkommen tilbake til Bellabopsaround 😊 🕺🏼⏰ Quick Notes… * delayed post * my parents are in town! * i got a matching mini scarf with my mom…we’re feeling very norwegian * lights turn yellow before they turn green * fall is beautiful here * they stop selling alcohol early here, giving iceland flash backs * dark chocolate is hard to find 🌍👀 Where I bopped around 09.27-10.06… 🏙️ Oslo * Went to Vigeland Park, beautiful, $2 for the bathroom * Had an amazing meal @hos____peder * Went to the natural history museum * Went to the national history museum, saw the scream * Drank a lot of gin and tonics * Our favorite gin and tonic was with a great meal @sudost * Sauna / cold plunge was definitely a highlight * Took a ferry back & forth(& back and forth) to Hovedøya 🎄 Lillehammer * Stopped by for coffee, pastries @lillehammerbakeri , and a night spent at Erling’s hytta at Hafjell * saw over the clouds 🐑 Ringebu * stayed at a really neat cabin/barn airbnb * lots of sheep, lots of flys 🗝️ Lom * Stopped through Lom on our drive * Very blue water * Went to the Lom stave church ⛴️ Geiranger * Had a gorgeous ride to Geiranger; blue water, crazy winds * Stayed at the @hoteluniongeiranger * Became masters of the buffet, lots of pineapple and sweets, i’d pass on the pizza * Enjoyed the spa, sauna ritual, and ate more pineapple * Hiked to a waterfall, saw a troll * Took a day trip to Eidsdal, bought some clogs * Took a rib boat through the fjords, would recommend, now wanting full jumpsuits for Oslo 🌱🫶🏼 Up Next… * more delayed posts #lillehammer #hafjell #geiranger #grunerlokka#norwaytravel #europeantravel #movetonorway #oslonorway #americaninnorway #oslotravel #oslosummer #oslono by @bellabopsaround

Velkommen tilbake til Bellabopsaround 😊 🕺🏼⏰ Quick Notes… * The norwegian word for speed is fart * We got a vipps * We had our first cocktail * Not sure how to say this other than, our apartment has a really strange stench to it that comes and goes, it’s like a stinky ghost that we can’t get rid of * I’m making friends :) * I spent too much money at cafes * We’ve named our building smør hjem 🌍👀 Where I bopped around 09.17-09.21… 🏙️ Oslo * We’re going to Keyserlokka park beside our apartment a lot to read and lounge during sunset * @carls.oslo has been my go to spot for a cappuccino * @wbsamson gets a bit too crowded but they make affordable cafe sandwich’s * Had my favorite coffee so far at @kuro.oslo. Honey lavender latte * Went to @200oslo for a cocktail. The service and vibes were amazing but a plain underwhelming gin & tonic was $17.50. * Grabbed a hotdog at @syverkiosken. Recommend leaning into the Norwegian style and getting it on lompe with potetmos. * Went to a local soccer game which was a lot of fun. We enjoyed soggy popcorn in the rain. Tied game. * Ate at @fresh.asian.fusion and it was a tad pricey but really good, we’d go back. * Went on another city run through the botanical gardens and around city center. 🌱🫶🏼 Up Next… * My parents come in town TODAY! * We’re booked a sauna for next week * We booked a trip to Bergen in June #grunerlokka#norwaytravel #europeantravel #movetonorway #oslonorway #americaninnorway #oslotravel #oslosummer #oslono by @bellabopsaround

Velkommen tilbake til Bellabopsaround 😊 🕺🏼⏰ Quick Notes… * I accidentally bought $8 raspberries * It is no longer summer * People tend to ignore personal space and feel comfortable staring at you * Erling and I each need our own umbrella * I have never seen so many gorgeous people in the same place * Waffles on Sunday will probably be a thing now * Indoor and outdoor shoes at the gym * Erling is a good roommate * We bought Coronas 🌍👀 Where I bopped around 09.08-09.14… 🏙️ Oslo * Went to @babbo.ovrefoss . Don’t feel like I got the full experience because I didn’t get a meal but the espresso was decent and the cinnamon bun was worth the 45 nok * @fomoto10t is one of my favorite shops so far in Oslo. They’ve helped supply me with napkins, dish towels, plates, and a few other home goodies * @casa_tinta_oslo has some wild stuff. picked up a spoon holder for cooking. Is that what that things called? * The @visitlokka Lokkadagene was a big hit, great vendors, good vibes * Erling and I had our first ‘night out’ at Boheman to watch soccer.
