1. Volcan De Acatenango, a beautiful 5 hour climbing experience. Climbing through steep uphill terrains consisting of corn fields, jungles, and volcanic rocky pathways. It was truly a blessing to experience on such a clear day, especially having little perritos guide me to the top.
2. Volcan De Fuego, this volcano was not originally on my list but I decided to take the risk to see the lava up close. Seeing this active volcano erupt from afar every 10 minutes was a true sight to see. But nothing compares to sitting on this volcanos grounds to witness lava explode and run down its ashy sides. As time passed by, the clouds rolled in and lightning guided our way back home through the darkness and fog. This was by far the most challenging thing I’ve ever done. And although I could’ve easily fallen on the side on Fuego and let the ashes cover me as I listen to the great eruptions, I made it back safely.

I can now proudly say that I have not climbed 1 but 2 volcanoes in one day. by @bellaeshoo

My treasured bar mural,
I’m sitting here on a keg stand (smaller than average), entranced by the graceful movement of the whales. How this piece kept me company in thought. Maybe that 8% cider was a little strong but something about this made me emotional. Like it represents the stages of life. The longer I looked at them the more they seemed like friends. When I was younger, I read a book about a girl who moved into a mysterious house filled with paintings and talking cats. One day she discovered that she could step through the paintings and enter the brushstroked world. Discovering magnificent stories that kept her imagination alive. I too wish I could fall into this painting and swim with the whales. Just to hear their stories as they slowly disintegrate in time. by @bellaeshoo
