Yes this is a common verse, but these last few months have felt like one battle after another. Maybe this is true for you too. This verse has been a comfort and a guidance to me. I thought I would just break it down and share with yall🫶🏻
- Trust in the Lord. This is a call to fully depend on God and leave everything in His care.
- Do not rely on your own understanding. This is a reminder to us that our understanding is not always accurate or complete and that we do not always see what God is doing. Having faith is so important.
- Acknowledge Him/ know Him. We are called to acknowledge God in all our ways. It is so important that we spend time with Him and recognize all that He has done. Prayer is powerful!
- He will make your paths straight. God promises us that He will guide us in the right ways and that He will remove/get us through all obstacles in our path.
Allowing God to be your guide begins with a commitment to trust. God cannot lead you where you will not follow. God’s plan is so much bigger than anything we can imagine. We play a small part in a big Kingdom vision, and it’s impossible for us to know the details of that! Every success, every road bump, and every setback is all orchestrated for God’s glory. I’ve learned to stop focusing on the outcome and just follow His plan because you’re never going to know the outcome of a situation. When we start to focus only on outcomes, we begin to direct our steps instead of letting God guide our path. Instead, we should focus on the purpose, the calling, and the direction God has for us:) by @bellalohmannn

This isn’t really a normal post for me but I felt it in my heart to share with y’all ❤️
Be patient. When you look up the definition of patient it says this- able to accept or tolerate delays, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious. Life isn’t always easy. Life is difficult sometimes I’ll admit that, and in these difficult times I have been forced to grow spiritually. I’ve been relying on God to provide for me in so many ways in a time of weakness. I have been humbly reminded that as a follower of Christ, although it’s OK to be upset by difficult circumstances and experience disappointment or anxiety, it is crucial to continue to trust God and remain steadfast in Him. He is slowly starting to rebuild me more into His image every single day. It’s not always easy or stress free, but I know that when I’m battling something or carrying worries and concerns, I can put my trust in God to experience true peace and live in freedom. With things going on in my life and maybe in some of y’all’s lives, I have learned that regardless of gloomy circumstances, heartbreak, fear, loss, or anxiety, God is still good, and He is still worthy of our praise. It shouldn’t matter if we’re experiencing the favor of God or it seems like all hope is lost, we can lift our eyes to Him and be reminded that Jesus is above all else. Don’t focus on what is seen but focus on what is unseen. What is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18). With that being said I encourage y’all to persue God and find rest in Him whenever something seems like it’s not going right. God loves us and He extends His loving grace over us when we become discouraged and things don’t work out. Be patient and know that He is good. He works all things out for our good. We may bend, but with God’s strength we will not break:) by @bellalohmannn
