👏🥳🎉Let the ‘HOLLY-DAYS’ begin with a birthday bang! 🎉🥳🍾Happiest of 21st birthdays to darling Holly. Thanks to everyone who came - for all travelling so far and wide to celebrate Holly’s years on the planet with us! From Spain, Germany and all over the country you came to put up your tents, to camp and make merry with us. Our favourite family and friends gathered together with sheer joy, dancing and merry outside feasting & blethering in Hertfordshire and we loved every second. Thanks to amazing uncle Richard PC for sharing his beautiful home for the occasion @annakennedycasting, Grauntie Miriam, @pcr1008 @samr99 for the amazing flowers and Pippa Hughes and her kitchen team for the wonderful spread, service and beautiful big birthday cake. Organising an epic memorable Holly-birthday-camp-fest at the other end of the country from Glasgow a week after a Hebridean wrap is no mean feat but these producers get things done!! If only all kids could get a dad who is this constant, who is funny, reliable, witty, who shares his passion for rugby and movies from morning till night, who shops and cooks, who has a genuine moral compass, who is the rock from which they swing and shows them you gotta keep doing the recycling, take the brown bin out on Sundays , you gotta walk the dog even in the rain and that grades aren’t everything but you gotta get up and go to work, work, work …and then come home & make a home-made birthday cake! Happy birthday darling Holly! 💐💖
She’s 21 today! It came about way too fast!

She always tells not to write an essay on insta but you know 21 years - come on!

We simply love you Holly, more than words can say. Your Holly life journey with us is a joy to partake in.. I catch my breath to see you at 21 kind of well- fully formed..! Lucky for us a joyful open hearted, funny, gregarious and witty Glaswegian girl! The best gift of our city!

She gets her self in a right old mess but yet she’s wise beyond her years. She still teaches me how to say sorry even at 55 and wow can she sit in an uncomfortable conversation! I mean that’s a power- you want her on your side in any future negotiations!

If you know Holly - you’ll know she adores her little creatures. She knows the difference between a caipirinha and a capybara! Thank you to her brilliant dad for teaching her to save spiders and bumblebees and the difficult day of explaining the birds and bees after we discovered we had nine Guinea pigs from the one she got for Christmas!! (That’s as weird, wrong as it sounds!!)

The hours of daddy and daughter David Attenborough watching showed Holly her true self and she’s keen to advocate for creatures without a voice. She’s finding her own work and place in the natural world I sense. Lucky world we need more people like you.

At two you kissed your baby brother on the head in the hospital and you’ve not stopped loving him 1000% since even if it’s dressed up as fighting on the kitchen floor or gobbling your chocolate birthday cake together two days before your 21st!! Seriously!!

You really make us happy, those of us in your life. That doesn’t run the gamut of my epic unbound emotions of being your mum. You know your dad feels the same - just with less words. ❤️❤️. He sees the whole of you in your messy wonderful complexity and you are so loved.

You are our beautiful daughter - our once in a lifetime - we love you to the moon and stars and back again. Those childhood words never
diminish. Ti Amo.

So the last day of the January already- a few pics from the last night of last month! @sophie.luarimore phoned me and said ‘can I come up for NYE?’ I said yes and it triggered a lovely spontaneous garrulous gathering (and a full 22 hour marathon of cooking, cleaning and merry making!). Hope your new year is well under way and you’ve held onto a few resolutions! I’m calling it - my ‘Year of Precision’ - catch up with me in March to see if the chaos is more contained! by @bellapagecroft

A few of my fiercely favourite family things! My little brother, Handsome Eddie was definitely the favourite child.
Must be true because I overheard mum say so when I was ten..! ❤️The family came together to celebrate Eddie’s 50th this weekend. We all celebrated, we partied and we shared sunny days, heartfelt speeches, amazing food and scary tabledancing!! With immense gratitude to fabulous sister in law, Nicole, who coordinated and gathered us all from across the UK & Europe secretly! Ed totally squealed as we all jumped up from our hidden spots to surprise him. Seven hours drive from Glasgow in bank holiday traffic dissipated in an instant.
It’s wonderful we all made our big treks- to share his big day. Happy 50th dearest Eddie!
Enjoy your hamper full of scottish goodies and thank you, thank you for being a brilliant brother (because you ALWAYS have remembered my birthday!!) It was great to be together! You and your beautiful family mean everything to ours! ❤️❤️ by @bellapagecroft

Across Scotland households have been on high alert with our teenagers on tenterhooks waiting for exam results. There was sighing and a big wail from the bathroom as the text landed. I prepared for the worst… That said, in the end Isaac did well although he himself says he’s a bit disappointed. Honestly we couldn’t be happier. He wants to appeal a couple of the results but he has good choices and that’s what matters in the end. Three years ago Isaac couldn’t go to school. He was a school refuser, anxious and avoidant - but he turned that around and began showing up. That’s what really matters. Super proud of you our boy! You showed up this year. There’s the lesson. You just got to find it in yourself to show up. ❤️❤️ by @bellapagecroft

The kids descend on Ischia in search of a free lunch (aka a quick holiday on bank of mum and dad!). Simple pleasures - quality time and always delicious food. Ischia never failed us &… only a bit of sibling scrapping went down! by @bellapagecroft
