forever grateful for my mission trip to costa rica 🇨🇷 i wanted to start off this caption by saying just how grateful i am for everyone that donated to this trip! YOU made it possible and im eternally appreciative for that. during this one week trip my life changed forever. i already can’t wait to go on another mission trip next year! in the mornings, we sandpapered and painted a school. after that, we had lunch and headed over to the HOPE center where we would essentially host a kids camp for kindergarteners and first graders. this was my absolute favorite part of the week. i got to form one on one bonds with the kids. on day one of serving, i was assigned a one on one with Aiden- shown in slides 4 and 10 (name changed for safety reasons.) i will forever remember Aiden. he taught me how it meant to be selfless. every single arts and crafts he made he tried to give to me. i knew that he probably didn’t have any arts and crafts at home, and he still chose to try to give his to me. that is the most generous thing a person can do, to give something you so deeply want. his generosity has made me return feeling extreme gratitude for everything i have and the opportunities i have as well. on the last day of the trip, we were given the opportunity to sponsor a child we had met at the HOPE center. samakh and i chose to sponsor Veronica shown in slide 7 (name also changed for safety reasons). we are so excited to help her and her family! we hope we can continue to make an impact in the Pavas community even after our mission trip. a huge shoutout to the team that joined me on this trip and our amazing leaders! couldn’t have chosen anyone better to serve with!!! thank you so much to everyone who allowed me to attend this mission! it was the single-most life changing experience of my entire life. by @bellapopescu21

daytona, you have done it again. every time i visit this place, my relationship with God reaches a whole new level. it changes in a way i can’t explain. with the first daytona, giving my life to Jesus, and the second, making my decision to be baptized, daytonas are one of the biggest impacts in my life. Lord, thank you for allowing me to come to this place to worship and learn more about your Holy name. thank you God for the absolutely amazing small group leaders and small group you’ve blessed me with. this week, you told me “eyes open,” and then showed me what that truly means. i opened my heart to you this week and have already felt just a glimpse of the eternal peace i will get with you. as we go back home today, please continue to show us how to represent and glorify you through our everyday actions. please Lord show me how to introduce others to Jesus, as that’s all i want to do. i could not be more grateful for your infinite, endless, and eternal love for me. you are worthy of all of the love and praise i could ever give.
