senior sunday sappy edition

dear dance,

it has taken me so long to write this because it all still doesn’t feel real and it probably won’t for some time.

but i just wanted to say thank you. thank you for letting a little girl fall in love with this art 15 years ago. thank you to everyone who has supported me and guided me to become the woman i am today.

thank you for introducing me to some of the bestest friends and creating lifelong memories. thank you for pushing me to work hard even through the hard days. thank you to my family for introducing me to dance and standing by my side always, good and bad.

thank you wausau academy of dance for all the lessons i will carry with me as i start this new chapter in life. thank you for all of the teachers and teammates for being there for me over the years.

it went by so fast just like everyone said it would, so this isn’t a goodbye but a thank you. thank you all for the memories i will never forget, but instead cherish forever.
