The Echo of Her by T.L. Taylor was everything I wanted from Lydia and Callum’s story and more 💙

I loved getting to know Lydia on a deeper level in TEOH. She brings SO much personality, humor, and warmth to the story, while Callum is the perfect broody counterpart. Their dynamic had me smiling, and the tension between them was absolutely worth the wait from TFOH. Their chemistry feels natural, and their banter is entertaining. And my girl Lydia is a VIBE I fucking love her🖤

What really made this book stand out was the mystery woven throughout the romance. There were so many questions, clues to piece together, and twists that kept me second guessing my theories. The suspense never overshadowed the relationship, and the emotional moments added so much depth to both characters. The spice was wonderful, too, without taking away from the story itself.

I also loved and appreciated how the heavier themes were handled and how music played such an important role in Callum’s journey. It added another layer to his character and made his connection with Lydia even more meaningful.

The ending left me with so many questions, and I am already impatient for the next book. While these books can technically be read as interconnected standalones, I highly recommend reading them in order to experience the full story.

If you love grumpy heroes, sunshine heroines, witchy vibes, a compelling mystery, plenty of tension, Sleep Token, and romance with real emotional substance, The Echo of Her deserves a spot on your TBR.

This novella had absolutely no business being this addictive. I went in thinking I’d have a quick little spicy Halloween read and now I’m completely feral over it. The twists, the betrayal, the secrets, the sheer amount of wtf moments…

And…….CAGE 🥵
I genuinely don’t know whether I wanted to kiss him, fck him, slap him, or run for my life, but apparently the answer is all of the above. He is the dark, obsessive, unhinged kind of MMC who has you questioning every single decision you’ve ever made while simultaneously screaming, “I NEED MORE OF HIM.” 😫

Blair deserves her flowers here too because watching her find her strength and stop backing down was everything to me. Their dynamic was chaotic in the best possible way, and the tension kept me turning pages regardless of what I had going on around me.

For only 149 pages, this book PACKED A FUCKING PUNCH. I enjoyed the pace, the twists actually caught me off guard, and that ending??? Excuses-moi????? I wasn’t expecting that

This is exactly the kind of dark, twisted, slightly unhinged read I wanted for Halloween. 🖤💀🔪

HAPPY RELEASE DAY TO MY FAVORITE DUET

I’ve been so absent from social media the last couple days due to planning a funeral for my grandmother BUT I had to come back to tell everyone about this duet. Personal things aside, this duet is nothing short of an emotional roller coaster that had me sobbing at multiple points but I love it. Dakota is my comfort character. I will forever cherish and carry her in my soul.

I’m upset that Dakota, Mason and Micah’s story is over but also so excited to see what @authorlolafairchild has next to offer 🖤

I don’t even know how to put this book into words because it didn’t just make me emotional. It dominated me 😭

Dakota, Mason, and Micah are permanently lodged in my brain. They are broken, messy, obsessive, destructive, complicated, and so incredibly human. Their love isn’t pretty or easy. They hurt each other, make mistakes, carry their trauma into everything, and somehow still find their way back to one another.

Dakota broke my heart. Micah owned it. Mason destroyed it. Watching all three of them confront their pain, learn to communicate, take accountability, and finally understand that being broken doesn’t make them unworthy of love absolutely wrecked me.

The grief. The obsession. The jealousy. The longing. The spice. The emotional devastation. I felt ALL. of. it.

They aren’t three halves trying to make a whole. They’re three broken people who somehow became each other’s home.

I finished this duet completely gutted, obsessed, and I’m nowhere near ready to let them go 🥺

Dakota. Mason. Micah. My beautiful, broken, disastrous little family. 🖤

This wasn’t just a book I loved

It fucking consumed me 😭 I’m gonna need a bit to recover

HAPPY RELEASE DAYYYYYYYY

Jessica. Girl. You GOT me with this one. 😭

Cassian and Vivienne had me absolutely losing my mind. The years of buried feelings, the forbidden tension, the yearning, the constant almosts… I was STRESSED.

Cassian silently loving this woman while convincing himself that letting her go was the right thing to do? HAULT. SIR. PLEASE. 😭 The way these two kept dancing around their feelings had me throwing my iPad across the room and then immediately pick it back up.

The best friend’s sister trope made the tension even better (and so happens to be a guilty pleasure of mine🙂‍↔️), and I was completely invested in all the family secrets, drama, and unanswered questions surrounding the rest of the characters.

The yearning was Y E A R N I N G.
The pining was PINING.
The angst was ANGSTING.

Easily one of my favorite JJ books so far (please don’t tell Slate and Lux). I cannot tell you how excited I was to finally see more of Vivvy when we saw a bit of her in Jokers Endgame 🥹
