Showing work at Worth Ryder Art Gallery, opening reception is tonight 4-6pm!

Exhibition dates: Wednesday, April 1 - Saturday, April 18, 2026
Worth Ryder Art Gallery (AAPB 116) Anthropology & Art Practice Building, First Floor, UC Berkeley Campus (across from Strada)
Hours: Tues/Thur 12-6, W 1-6, F 12-5
Special CalDay hours on Saturday April 18, 1-4pm

Cliffs and planes suggest both grounding and precarity, a place where one might stand, but also fall. A sensation of being suspended inside beauty that feels slightly off. a sense of looming doom that never fully arrives. Insomnia here is not the dramatic wakefulness of tossing and turning, but the stranger, heavier state of lying completely still while the mind refuses to leave.
The work explores a persistent emotional state: a low, constant hum of anxiety that lingers even in moments of fullness and beauty. Unnatural shadow and light, beauty amongst psychological unease. It is the low, persistent hum of not knowing what to do with yourself, even when you are doing nothing at all.
