Section of a much larger Kurdish nomadic carpet. Purchased in Istanbul Turkey at Nakkars who had it laid out on the floor where they were cutting around burnt sections. It’s very old. Looks as if it’s fading time to move it. Knowing what was happening to the Kurds it made me wonder what had happened to it. It was expensive but the haggling was an experience in IS dollars as the Aussie was worth 38 US cents. by @bellbraesand
