FINALLY got some business pictures done, so here’s a long overdue introduction to me and my hairstyling business, Belle’s Brides 🌹 Hello future clients! I’m Belle, a wedding and event hairstylist based in the Tulsa, OK area. My specialties are Hollywood waves, textured updos & half-updos, and looks that enhance your natural curl. I’ve been doing wedding hair for about 2.5 years. I started in cut and color about 3.5 years ago, but I never truly had a passion for it. The permanence of it stressed me out—I’m such a people pleaser and just want everyone to feel happy with their hair. I didn’t find enough joy in it to keep pushing through the learning curve. Hairstyling, on the other hand, has always come naturally to me. I’ve loved it since school, and I appreciate that I can adjust, tweak, or completely redo a style until it feels just right. I first fell in love with bridal hair when my sister got married when I was 17. I was completely enamored with the getting-ready process. I even reached out to her hairstylist about shadowing and sent available dates but never heard back—and I didn’t know how else to break into the industry at the time, so I stayed focused on salon work and pushed away the thought of wedding styling. Fast forward to 2.5 years ago, when a former coworker connected me with @calliwhitehairandmakeup as she was building her bridal team. I’ll always be so grateful for that opportunity (shoutout Samantha 🫶🏻). Working under Calli was such an amazing learning experience and gave me the chance to grow while she handled the administrative side. About a year ago, I started booking my own weddings, rebranded to Belle’s Brides, and fully stepped away from promoting cut and color to focus on styling. Since then, I’ve been learning the business side while continuing to grow my skills. This past year was truly unforgettable. The brides I had the honor of working with in my very first year of wedding hairstyling independently will forever hold a special place in my heart. 🤍 After nearly two years working with the @calliwhitehairandmakeup team, I made the decision around this time last year to start booking weddings on my own and fully step into the wedding world under my own brand. That’s when Belle’s Brides was born—a complete rebrand from my former cut-and-color-focused page. I never felt fully confident in that side of hairdressing until I discovered bridal hairstyling. Through working on a bridal team, I realized this is where my true passion and confidence live. Instead of imposter syndrome and burnout, I felt inspired—motivated to grow, refine my skills, and show up better for my clients. Instead of fear before appointments, I felt excitement and anticipation for the styles I’d get to create. ✨ I want to say a huge THANK YOU to every bride who trusted me with their wedding hair and who supported me as I found my footing in the wedding industry. This year also came with unexpected challenges, including a serious health scare my boyfriend faced that consumed much of our lives for half the year. The patience, kindness, and understanding I received from my brides during that time truly means more than I can put into words. 🤍 I’m so excited for this year and all the years to come as I continue growing in my craft and working to make both my business and my brides flourish. I got the pleasure of having 14 brides I booked myself, and 25 weddings I worked on a team. Getting to witness my brides’ first looks with their bridesmaids and mothers is always so sweet and special. 🤍 Even if they’ve seen photos of the dress or their bride’s hair and makeup trial, nothing takes away from the emotions they feel when they see the entire look come together for the first time. Being part of someone’s wedding day is such a privilege, but being part of their wedding morning, in such an intimate and personal setting, feels like an entirely different level of honor. It’s a feeling I never take for granted. I’m here to be more than just their hairstylist. I want to be a calm, supportive presence and a safe space during such a meaningful morning, helping my brides feel beautiful, cared for, and truly present in every moment. September photo dump🌞 what a good & eventful month!! Hosted a pool party at the beginning of the month with the help of my cutie friend @riannhassell 🫶🏻😗 it was so nice getting to socialize with other wedding vendors & relax🍹🏊🏻‍♀️ thanks to the people that helped with putting it together: @nowayjosecc for content creation, @whiskeysistersbartending for bartending, @crumbs.gonewild for the cookies, and Riann for helping with planning cuz I truly couldn’t have done it without you girly🫶🏻 Also this month my amazing boyfriend spent three days renovating my home studio. It’s something I’ve had on the to do list, and it seriously feels SO refreshing to have carpet gone and a fresh coat of paint. Making my studio feel professional, comfortable and clean for my clients is so important to me, and I’m so excited to truly make this space my own now. Thank you @not.ethans for redoing my studio and putting so much care into how you went about it. I love you I love you!!!!!!!!!!
