👮‍♀️🚓 Community Helpers at DMS Montessori Belleville! 🧡

As we begin exploring our Community Helpers unit and the spirit of Thanksgiving, we were so excited to welcome some very special guests to DMS Montessori Belleville — the Belleville Police Service! 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️

Our children had the opportunity to spend time with the officers, learn about their daily work, talk about community safety, and discover the many ways police officers help and protect our community.

The children were thrilled to explore the police vehicles, sit inside the cars, and even learn about how drones are used as an important tool in their work. 🚓✨

It was a wonderful, interactive experience that brought our learning to life and gave our children a meaningful connection with the community helpers who serve us every day.

A huge thank you to Belleville Police Service for spending time with our children and making today’s workshop so special! We are incredibly grateful for your time, kindness, and dedication to our community. 🧡

Here are a few glimpses from today’s wonderful workshop! 📸

While conducting speed enforcement, Belleville Police officers clocked a vehicle at 113km/h in a 60 km/h zone.

A 17-year-old male was charged with stunt driving under the Highway Traffic Act, resulting in a 30-day licence suspension and a 14-day vehicle impoundment.

If you're driving at nearly twice the speed limit, don't expect your ride home to be a happy one. by @bellevillepoliceservice
