Having a mother figure in my life right now means everything — and that person is Melissa @mmviverito . She stepped into this role without hesitation this week, honoring my truth, defending me when I’m too tired to defend myself, and holding my hand when vulnerability feels scary instead of safe. Her love shows up steady and fierce, reminding me I’m not alone, I’m protected, and I’m worthy of care in this moment and always. 💛 🎥 @andypraschak by @bellicott

We stand in solidarity with nurses ✊ — and we must be clear:
Gender-affirming care is NOT elective. 🏳️‍⚧️

As negotiations continue, Governor Kathy Hochul must issue clear guidance to ensure gender-affirming care is maintained and protected. Delays or cancellations put lives at risk.

at 19 years old Eddie Cole is going to kick you out of Salem Church it’s important that you let him…it’s gonna be okay trust me 🌹

This may have been the most physically and emotionally painful thing I’ve ever experienced but it shaped me into becoming who I was not only meant to be, and knew I was, but forced me to accept myself and to live my life by @bellicott

🏹 The Chariot. Strength. Justice. ⚖️🦁

Pulled these three today and immediately thought of Gavin DeGraw’s “Chariot.” 🎶

Direction. Courage. Truth.

A reminder that moving forward doesn’t always mean rushing — sometimes it means trusting your strength, staying aligned, and letting the path unfold.

Keep moving. Keep growing. Keep choosing yourself. ✨

As we approach the 25th anniversary of September 11th, I find myself thinking about my Dad more than ever.

My Dad, Lt. Brian Ellicott, was an FDNY EMS dispatcher. September 11th changed his life — and ultimately took it. He became sick from the aftermath and died on November 26, 2007.

But his story didn’t end there.

People who stood beside him, worked alongside him, and breathed the same air are still getting sick. And we are still losing them.

There is a particular kind of grief in watching another name added to the list — another family changed forever — another reminder that September 11th was never just one day.

This year, I’m feeling another loss. And somehow, this one feels justified.

Not because anyone deserves to die, but because every loss continues to prove what we already knew: the consequences of September 11th are still happening.

I remember my Dad. I remember those we’ve lost. And I remember those who are still fighting.

Twenty-five years later, we are still counting.

Lt. Brian Ellicott. My Dad. Never forgotten. 🖤

On September 4, I’m having revision surgery to reposition my right testicular implant and address some of the changes that have come with healing. This is another step toward seeing, feeling, and living in my body the way I’ve envisioned.

If you’d like to help support my recovery, I’ve created a GoFundMe. Every contribution, share, and message means so much. 🫶

September 4th: Another Step Forward 🏳️‍⚧️🖤

On September 4th, I’ll be heading back into surgery for a revision to my gender-affirming surgery—focused on correcting my right testicular implant placement and addressing my mons/FUPA so I can move toward greater comfort, function, and confidence in my body.

Revision surgery is still surgery, and recovery comes with real expenses. I’m raising a small mutual-aid fund to help cover transportation, medication copays, recovery supplies, and the practical costs that come with taking time to heal.

If you’re able to contribute, even $5 makes a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this post, sending some love, or simply checking in during recovery means just as much.

Thank you for showing up for me, supporting my journey, and helping me take this next step. 🩷🤍🩵

Leather came into my life publicly 2 years again but more silently at a time when I was learning how to put myself back together.

In 2016, on Father’s Day, my life changed in a way I never expected. Surviving sexual assault left me questioning my safety, my body, my trust, and even parts of who I was. Healing has not been linear. Some days have been heavy with grief, anger, and fear. Other days have been about rediscovering myself piece by piece.

For me, leather has never been about sex or kink. It has become something much deeper. It is about authenticity, chosen family, resilience, and finding the courage to exist fully as myself. Leather reminds me that I am still here. That I am allowed to take up space. That my story did not end with trauma.

It keeps me grounded in my journey as a transgender, bisexual man learning to reclaim his body, his joy, and his identity. It has taught me that strength can be soft, that vulnerability can be powerful, and that healing can happen in community.

Every time I put on my leather, I am reminded that I am not defined by what happened to me in 2016. I am defined by my willingness to keep showing up, to keep healing, and to keep become more fully myself.

Leather, for me, is not an escape. It is a homecoming. It is a reminder that even after trauma, I deserve authenticity, community, and joy.

As I mark Transgender Day of Visibility, I’m filled with a deep sense of triumph, reflecting on my journey of growth and self-discovery—one where I’ve faced physical, mental, and spiritual challenges head-on and continued to rise.

Despite recent turmoil, including the uncertainty of my surgery due to the NYSNA strike that threatened to indefinitely postpone my transition, I remained grounded in my truth. I stayed resolute, showed up for myself every day, and kept moving forward with intention and determination.

This chapter has reminded me that resilience isn’t about never being shaken—it’s about choosing yourself again and again, even in the unknown. It’s about honoring your path, trusting your timing, and refusing to let external forces define your worth or your future.

Transgender people have always been here. We are woven into the fabric of every community—worthy of visibility, dignity, celebration, and protection. Today, I stand not only in my truth, but in solidarity with every trans person navigating their own journey.

May our visibility continue to break barriers, open hearts, and create space for those still finding their way. 💙🏳️‍⚧️
