Once upon a time, this book-loving girl went to Charlotte for one of the biggest book events. 📚 And it was a dragon riders paradise! 🐉  Shout out to the incredible authors, vendors, volunteers, and team members who made @charlottebookpalooza an inspiring rainy Saturday. I’ve seen so many authors and vendors say it was their biggest sales day ever. That’s what I LOVE to hear! Shopping small, supporting local. Best of all, the event helps @booksonthehousenc continue to provide FREE books to kids and adults in our community. 📖 So everyone can keep reading ALL 👏 YEAR 👏 LONG! Want to support their mission? It is with a heavy heart we mourn one of the greatest mascots in baseball history. It came as a sudden shock to many that Peppy Ghost Pepper, only 1.5 years old, has ghosted us too soon. 🖤❤️‍🔥🌶️ In case you missed it, the team owners closed the @gastoniaghostpeppers on Wednesday, September 30. I’m still confused and disappointed with @zawyersports but alas, all good things must come to an end. Gone, but never forgotten… mostly because you will forever haunt the nightmares of children throughout Gaston County. Wake me up when September ends. I’ll be in a food coma until then. Here is the monthly round up of the best things I ate (or drank) this month … Scallops at @seaboyrestaurant - drove up to Cornelius for this one and it was 💯 worth it! Can someone please convince them to add a location in Belmont 🙏 Former Bottle Tree spot anyone?!? Cinnamon Apple Donut cupcake from @kylieskakesandmore at the @belmontnc_farmersmarket - Donuts and Cupcakes? A match made in heaven! Eggplant dish that was a Chefs Special at @marrellisbelmont in downtown Belmont - highly recommend going on a Thursday night to try some unique flavors 🍝 Some sort of caramel apple thing at @tangandsass in Belmont - When it comes to fall flavor, I’m team Apple vs. Team Pumpkin. If you don’t agree, this apple deliciousness will convert you. Only open on Saturdays or at the Sunday farmers market Pint of Coffee Caramel Crunch from @downstairsicecream in downtown Gastonia - Coffee, chocolate, caramel, I mean what else do I need to say about their September flavor of the month? Step right up... CarnEVIL is about to begin! 🎡🤡🎟️ The annual Spooky Speakeasy at @papadocslakewylie opens October 1st! I can’t believe this was my FOURTH year visiting their Halloween pop-up bar. They always find a way to out do themselves, year after year. 👻🎃🖤 From the festive drink menu, creepy decor, unique experiences, and fun photo ops, it’s a spooktacular celebration to enjoy all October long.
