The Sharp portable hifi component system has a pile of tapes beside it, a double tape deck, a true equalizer, plays sunshine reggae here on the balcony of Cafe Dante in the middle of a summer night. There‘s an old piano inside, a telephone that deserves an own bond movie, an abundance of flowers and the windows an nativity scene on psychedelic mushrooms. „Love is the way, the life, and the truth“, is written over the entrance arc. I sip my Kayaki easy beer, my salad arrives, and I feel at home, in this ancient city full of stories, artifacts and plot twists. Neuland, sozusagen. Postsowjetische, teilweise reichlich rebellische Kunst, alte Innenhöfe, balkonbehangen und feigenbewachsen, und gläserne Treppentesserakte, und so viel mehr. Eingeweckte Blumen und Kräuter mit Knoblauch, Walnüsse und Granatäpfel, und viele andere kulinarische Überraschungen aus einem Sternerestaurant oder einem hole in the wall. #GeorgiaOnMyMind by @belobregovic

#CulturesAtSAP feiert unsere Verschiedenheit, die Begegnungen und das gegenseitige Lernen und Vertrautwerden. Wir tanzen zu kirgisischer und iranischer Musik, essen griechisch und französisch, bekommen einen Taiwanesischen Fächer und ungarische Traubisoda. Kinder aus allen Ländern sitzen durcheinander und hören einer Latino-Opernsängerin zu. Und am Ende tanzt alles Bollywood. @lifeatsap @SAP by @belobregovic

Für #Heidelberg wünsche ich mir einen konstruktiven Dialog über Windkraft. Keine Fake-Fotomontagen. Eher eine Diskussion über Möglichkeiten, und eine realistische Einschätzung von Risiken. Die Windräder hier auf dem Bild sind rund um das Wasservogelparadies des Eilandpolder. Irgendwie geht das hier gut zusammen. Und gefällt mir besser hier als ein KKW oder so ein Klotz wie in Mannheim. taken in De Rijp by @belobregovic

… the sheep are galloping (they really do) towards the meadows end, and all the ducks got up and watch the situation in alertness. Yesterday, we heard an agitated wack—wack-wack. The ducks who rule this meadow were crying havoc. Amidst the blades of grass the brown tip of a cat‘s tail hunting was moving through the green. The ducks were not the least afraid, rather agitated and indignant. And so the sheep, the elders, marched over, a phalanx of wool, unmistakably threatening, closing in on the cat, bleating and baaing. The cat raced off, clearly frightened. The meadow was safe again. Today, a hawk was circling in the blue over the meadow and water ways, and once again the guardians swooped down, a flock of seagulls, aggressively attacking the much larger bird in breathtaking manoevers. There seems to be a cross-species alliance to uphold the sanctuary. The alert ducks seem the first line of guardians, on water, land, and in air. #polder #netherlands #derijp by @belobregovic

The come back train travel. I could not agree more. Working or writing or reading, or enjoying the blur of colours outside the window, or the blend of human stories inside the train carriage. Not everything is as spectacular and entertaining as Paul Theroux’ Railway Basar. And there is of course a lesson in flexibility and patience taught be DeutscheBahn. Still, my favorite way to get around (beside the bicycle) and a true “second place”. by @belobregovic
