I’ve looked down on who I was 3 years ago.

I hated myself, I had no vision for my life. I didn’t want one or even know how to believe that my life was going to continue. I wouldn’t say I was suicidal, I just genuinely didn’t see the point of my life.

I partied because I wanted to escape my fear of being alive. I drank and smoked weed because I wanted to drown out the fact that I kept noticing presence of God — how much He wanted to fill me life with His love. It was only ever in hindsight that I realized my choices were lethal to my life.

I could pinpoint a specific moment of when things started shifting, but what matters to me in the history of it all is that there is a God who has desired my life more than I have. And I am so grateful that He never left me when I gave reason after reason to.

Let me tell you, the moment you realize just how much Jesus loves you, it wrecks you. ‘Cause you realize no person is ever going to be able to love you the same way.

I didn’t realize the love I was desperately wanting to be loved with was in the presence of God.

I’m not trying to make you believe anything you don’t want to, I just hope that you can see how much I love this Man. And how worth it it has been to choose His love for me.
