Hola! my name is Xai and I’m a Puerto Rican photographer who is also based in the Bay Area. Question! Have you ever felt like sharing art that isn’t too niche?

Well this is what this account is all about. I typically shoot weddings in SF and PR @belovedcaptures But something in me said.

Let’s go back to our roots. Let’s play and explore with color like we used to.

Not that weddings don’t allow for that usually but I wanted to branch out a bit more. Id love to work with artists, businesses and the music scene.

L & K’s wedding at Nestldown in Los Gatos had everything. Donkeys, ice cream, and guests getting down on the dance floor with them! Friends and family flew in from everywhere to celebrate them, and it’s one of the best venues around for forest views.

I had so much fun second shooting this one.

A black tie wedding at The Club at Castlewood 🖤 First look, portraits, and wedding party pics all before the ceremony, so cocktail hour was theirs to enjoy. Had the joy of shooting alongside @tonivandorstphoto on this day.

Planning tip: doing your first look and wedding party photos before you say “I do” means a bit more wiggle room to not miss the entirety of your own cocktail hour taking pictures. Fewer rushed moments, more time with your people.
