BelowTheSurf ✨ When I created this account, I never imagined how social media would evolve and change and grow and become so engrained in who I was or how I carried my passions. But is has. It's allowed my creative side to flourish alongside my research aspirations. It's given me community and mentees. It's provided me the space to dream for myself, for my communities and for our oceans. It's been a catalog of where I have been and what I have done, and in a way a roadmap to where I am headed. Only seemed fitting that I should solidify the branding of who I am. Not just a researcher or a field fashionista. But Nicole Firing of @belowthesurf . A marine scientist dedicated to empowering, inspiring and conserving the world around her by sharing her life with them. A healthy marine protected area (MPA) means nurse sharks can be their true selves: goofy!
