Spirit Of The Season

(Pen on tinted paper + digital polish, patterns and framing; October 2026)

Something seasonal. A bit of a combination of traditional and digital elements. I added a bit of framing, patterns and dots in post. Just some MS Paint jank to add to the mix. What can I say, I do dig the tacky quality it adds. And hey, jank before slop any day, amirite?

404 Of The Soul (Pen & pencil on tinted paper + some digital polish and colorization, October 2026)

Went for the Barolo-colored paper again. The warm yellow highlights were added in post with GIMP and old-school Microsoft Paint. Yellows from pens or brushes just don't really take on that sort of paper. So I decided to fill in some blanks with simple editing tools in post.

Gruenderzeit (Pen on tinted paper + digital polish and assembling, October 2026)

A pattern piece I loosely based on ornaments I saw on the railing in the building I live in. The swirly pattern in the center was pretty much directly drawn as per that reference. I came up with the rest spontaneously. Been trying to go for a more graphic kind of piece for a while. It was fun.

Sanguine Disposition (The Pitfalls Of Suck-Cess)

Pen and pencil on paper + some digital polish, tinting and framing. September 2026

Something in a style I haven't utilized in a while. Monochrome with striking, thick black lines. It's a style I mostly went for 2014-2016ish. Thought I'd do a little throwback. 'Tis the season after all.
