“🤭 love u”the last thing i ever said to you. i hate that that was a couple of weeks ago, but what a fitting farewell nonetheless.7 years i’ve known you. as often as i’ve moved, that’s honestly a bit of a record for the length of my relationships. but even then, a mere 7 years isn’t nearly enough time. it’ll always weigh on me that i didn’t get to enjoy a lifetime of your friendship.the song playing has the lyric, “and isn’t it just so pretty to think all along there was some invisible string tying you to me?” and i really, really think there was. you quickly became one of my core people in seventh grade, but with middle school friendships, sometimes as you grow up, you grow apart. but that string was always still there, and us being cordial old friends just wasn’t good enough. so subconsciously, we both began to pull on that invisible string until we finally found our way back to each other :) and there is nothing on this earth i am more grateful for. seeing you in musical theatre that day was literally like pressing play on where we left off. and there we were, core people once more. and i know someday we’ll experience that exact same thing again.i love you and i miss you, aleah. and i will always long for the day we only have to press play again one more time. see you later, acorn <3 by @ben10stanacc
