Saxophonist, father of four, and Michigan-born. My small-town roots sparked a lifelong love of music. Thanks Marcellus.

Today is Ziggy’s Birthday I can’t believe how much he’s grown over the last year not only physically but spiritually, emotionally and mentally. He last Friday earned the Bull Dog Inclusion award and the reason why was not only because he’s being super good and helpful at school but because there is a new classmate that’s smaller, has glasses and a physical disability and there were some kids picking on him and Ziggy stood up for the boy. He told them quite boldly that making fun of him wasn’t okay. I am soo proud of him and I know God has a great plan for his life. by @ben_hostetler42

It's been a really good kickoff to summer break! Tomas and Liam's team took home 1st place in their baseball fun-for-all tournament. Sam was our batboy and had fun putting on the catcher's gear on Saturday. Ziggy was baptized on Sunday and I've been blessed to see three to four boys follow Christ (Sam is too young for that decision). We celebrated Tomas' birthday yesterday with tacos for lunch at El Taco Loco and finished the day with a shrimp boil and homemade Butterfinger ice cream. Today, we had a game in Marcellus and Liam got to come in and close out a strong win for the whole team. I was able to capture a picture of something he's worked very hard on in pitching - a surprise for his team, coaches, catcher, the batter, and the ump. He finally showed his knuckleball for a strikeout, totally freezing the batter. Ziggy has made his All-Star team as well, and I'm so excited to see him grow. by @ben_hostetler42
