HOCO …….Not babies anymore…. @centralflmom 💗 by @ben_morse22

Today was a day Chrissy and I have talked about and looked forward to for weeks. Today, she finally got to ring that bell!

I couldn’t be there in person, but she knows I was right there with her in spirit. Thankfully, I was able to watch through FaceTime, and I can’t even begin to describe how emotional that moment was.

Watching the woman I love ring that bell after everything she’s been through is a moment I’ll never forget. I couldn’t be more proud of her strength, courage, and the way she has handled everything these past few months.

Today marks the end of radiation and the closing of a chapter we never expected to have to write. Now it’s time to look forward, get back to living life, and put this chapter behind us.

Chrissy, I love you more than words can say, and I’m so damn proud of you. Here’s to brighter days ahead! 💕 by @ben_morse22

This month hits a little differently for our family this year.

What started as a routine mammogram for Chrissy in June turned into a breast cancer diagnosis in August. Thankfully, it was caught very early. A few surgeries later, the cancer has been removed, and she is now going through 15 rounds of targeted radiation. Her medical team is confident she will make a full recovery. 💗

It’s been a lot to process in a short amount of time, but more than anything, we’re incredibly thankful it was found when it was.

So if there’s one thing we can share this Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it’s this:

Get your boobies checked. 🎀

Don’t put off your mammogram. Don’t assume you’re too young, too healthy, or that it can’t happen to you. Early detection can make all the difference.

We’re beyond proud of Chrissy and how strong she has been through all of this. Now it’s time to finish these treatments, put this chapter behind us, and move forward. 💪🏼💗

Early detection saves lives. Schedule the mammogram. Do the self-checks. Encourage the women you love to do the same. by @ben_morse22
