BEN AND FRIENDS, MY FIRST EP, IS OUT EVERYWHERE

This is something that I’ve wanted to do for a very long time, and we finally made it happen. I’ve always wanted to make a full project, and I’ve also wanted to work with people who I think make cool music. I’m privileged to have worked with some of my favorite Athens artists, and this whole project feels like a love letter to the city that has encouraged me to be more creative. I tried to showcase a wide range of production on this EP.

Thank you again to all of the artists who have contributed to this project! Thank you to @lainaapple for the visual concepts and video, and @adeboye_1 for the poem in “The Drive Home.”

Take You To The Ocean with Misty Mintbreeze is out now!

Huge thanks to Misty for taking the time to make this song with me even with her busy schedule. All the @ugambus guys know what I’m talking about.

Felt like making something beachy this time around. Go ahead and send this to your mom when you get the chance. by @ben_tellabo

Tides Turning with Serendipity is out on all platforms!!

I’ve been sitting on this one for a while and figured it was time to stop keeping it all for myself. I sent @_surabhijoshi several beats a year ago and she chose this one. She delivered more than I could’ve hoped for. Everyone thank her for blessing this song🫡

“I Don’t Know” with rania and Xabo is out now!

THIS IS THE MUSIC I’VE ALWAYS WANTED TO MAKE! I was listening to a lot of Kali Uchis and decided I wanted to make something that sounds pretty. I knew that rania’s voice would be perfect for this one the moment I finished it. I sent Xabo the beat when I finished it too, and he sent me back that verse the same day. Just insane talent from both of them.

Elaina and Ebot really helped with the artwork and video. Elaina suggested we draw ourselves and it was Ebot who brought that idea to life. Elaina was the one who directed the video (which will be out soon don’t worry) and saw the vision the same way I did.

Last thing I’m gonna yap about is the production of this song. This is the first song where I really feel like all my hard work really shows. The whole thing was produced, mixed, and mastered by me. It was so much fun not only to produce this song, but also act as a curator by bringing me, rania, and Xabo together in such a cohesive way.

Anyways, give it a listen! Or not, who am I to tell you how to live your life? Thank you to @noorn0va @luis.garcia.cano @lainaapple @ancelswrld by @ben_tellabo

Me and Marly made our first song together as a class project, and we wanted to do another one but better. We’ve both had to learn a lot over the last year about music production and we’re so happy to release a single that’s been in the vault for a minute. After a lot of going back and forth and trying to make every detail perfect we’ve realized we just need to release the damn thing. We’re really happy with the way it turned out.
