Speechless 🤯 2023 BOULDER NATIONAL CHAMPION!!!

What a journey.. so many years and tears have gone into this. It’s hard to put into words but I will try.

Firstly, I’d like thank everyone who has always had my back and supported me getting here. 12 years of climbing and countless setbacks, never performing to my best at nationals or world cup events.

To have finally performed in a way that better reflects what I am capable of has been incredibly humbling. This feeling of like I have something to prove to the people that didn’t believe me proving not only to the community but myself that I am a climber of this calibre. Maintaining composure, staying consistent through rounds, navigating the highs and lows, dedicating yourself entirely to the thing that you love truly pays off.

To stand on the podium with @campbell_harrison547 was special. I don’t believe there’s anyone who understands this feeling more than him, and to do it together was the icing on the cake. Thanks Campbell for all the years travelling and training together.

Coming out for the last boulder in finals seeing @jjmennell in tears, already knowing the results, was so emotional. The best training partner I could have asked for.

The support from the audience, seeing my parents and @annie.94 there, made it one of most emotional and rewarding competitions yet. Thank you for putting up with me in lows and sharing this high with me!

And of course my biggest idol and mentor @emmawarriorprincess. You are an extraordinary woman, always guiding me and helping me keep my head on straight. Thank you!

What an event. Thankyou routesetters, volunteers and organisers!

Time to take this feeling to Olympic qualifiers at the end of the month and keep this ball rolling. 😤

If I can inspire just one kid out there to find their passion in life, my work here would be done. I have never been one to fit into the system, and I hope to inspire kids in a similar situation to explore and find their passions.

Climbing is my life; it’s given me goals, it’s pushed me to grow beyond my mental and physical barriers and has always been there to teach me how to get up and keep going. Climbing has given me direction when I had none.

My dream of competing with the world’s best, and becoming the best, has led to the most amazing opportunities for me. I want to share it all with you and give back to this amazing sport that has given me everything I could have dreamed for.

A huge Thank you to @jasontrancreate for helping me bring this little video to life! You are a real magician. 🤟

Europe 2026 - Part 1
Slowly learning that ‘change is the only constant’. Plans change. Relationships change. Goals change. Injuries happen. From a 2 month training trip in Paris quickly turned into going all over Europe following friends on the World Series circuit.

Thought being back at these comps I would be more upset not competing on the big stage. Instead I found immense joy seeing old friends, cheering for the Aussies and climbing around Europe with everyone. The first 5 weeks of this trip have felt like 3months.. but for the next half my little bro is joining me and will be preparing for the world youth championships later in July.

From 2019 first final to 2026 first win.

I don’t think I have the words to express how I feel. People see all the things you’re achieving and how you keep pushing the sport in Australia and around the world year after year, but many won’t see the work and dedication you put in day after day, year after year.

What you achieved yesterday is inspiring to so many, but what inspires me most is the way you live your life and the values you uphold. The way you push me, not just in climbing, but in the way I show up in my own life. Asking the hard questions, finding my own truth, my own why. Pushing me to be a better friend and a better human and to always do what I want to do.

I’ll always be grateful to have a friend like you and to have shared so many great memories together. More importantly, I’m grateful that I get to share everything I’ve learned and experienced with you, and then pass those same lessons and questions on to the next person. The world is a better place because of you.

This win I know isn’t just yours, it belongs to the whole Mackenzie family. It’s always been a package deal with you guys, and you all deserve this feeling so much.

Escaping the busyness of city life, more time home with family and doing the things I used to do when I was a kid. Surfing local beaches, climbing in the gym I grew up in, going through some training cycles, jumping off cliffs with friends and doing jobs for mum ☺️ by @benabel__

Proud how far I’ve came in a year 🙏
I prepared the best I could for this comp, enjoying the ups and downs of the process.
Yeh things didn’t fall into place for me in the semis. But I got to climb in front of some family and friends that haven’t seen me compete before and that meant more to me than anything. Plus I had the coolest hair I’ve ever had for a comp thanx @indywilla_77 🫶
I’m a pretty competitive person, so even though I didn’t feel ‘pressure’ to win, it still hurts not doing your best when it matters. Not sure what’s next but I’m sure I’ll be back 😈

Well done to @maya.stasiuk and @max_thomazz for putting on a show and taking the win! Was a lot of fun sitting in the crowd and cheering for friends in the finals!
