Hi, I’m Francesca 👋

I’m one of the co-founders of BeNative Online.

For the past two years, I’ve been working as an English Language Assistant at a primary school in Madrid, supporting children as they learn and use English every day.

One thing I’ve noticed is that many children understand English much better than they believe but often lack the confidence to use it in real conversations.

That’s one of the reasons Shani and I created BeNative Online.

We wanted to create a safe space where children can use English naturally, make international friends, and build confidence through real communication.

I love seeing children realise that they don’t need perfect English to connect with others. They just need opportunities to use it!

Hi! I’m Shani! ✨ One of the founders of BeNative Online 🇬🇧🌍

A few fun facts about me:

👩‍⚕️ I’m a qualified nurse
🎒 I spent a year solo backpacking around Southeast Asia
🦘 I lived in Australia for a year
🇪🇸 I’ve been living in Spain for the past 2 years, teaching English and supporting students in bilingual education
🐘 My favourite animal is the elephant
🩷 My favourite colour is pink
🐶 I’m obsessed with animals
✈️ I love travelling and meeting people from different cultures

Throughout my travels and teaching experience, I’ve seen how English can connect people from all over the world. That’s one of the reasons Francesca and I created BeNative Online, to help students build confidence, make international friends, and use English in real-life situations.

A few new faces around here, so we thought we’d say hello! 👋🌍

We’re Shani & Francesca, the two people behind BeNative Online.

We met in Madrid while teaching English, one of us in a primary school and the other in a high school. We quickly became friends and realised we shared the same idea: English learning should be about so much more than textbooks and grammar.

Now we’re both back living in England and busy building our new online platform, BeNative Online. 💻🌍

We created BeNative to bring children and teenagers together from different countries — to talk, connect, share cultures, make friends and build confidence using English naturally.

💬 Kids Chat — ages 7–12
🌎 Teen Talk — ages 13–17
📚 1:1 & Cambridge Prep

Outside of BeNative, you’ll usually find us hiking, travelling, exploring the outdoors or working on something creative. We’re both pretty artistic, so naturally we’ve ended up putting that side of ourselves into BeNative too! 🎨

We’re excited to see where this little idea takes us. ❤️
