Earlier this year, @suprachib and I celebrated her birthday by returning to her family’s home country of Thailand. It was my first time in the area, and thank goodness her family came along. One of the most important things we accomplished: aiding the increasingly endangered Elephant populations. Obviously a ton of tourism depends upon victimizing these astonishing minds, and every one is hard up just to survive these evenings. So I’m not here to ask for money, nor to lecture.

I *am* here to note elephants are actually hilarious, and sapient, and someone (*cough cough @robschrab and @danharmon and @slevy79 cough cough*) should at least give one of these giants a shot at a writer’s room.

We have it on good authority that you can pay them in snacks, safety and shelter. Admittedly I don’t get a lot of their jokes as one Elephant lady yelled at us and laughed after she made us watch her poop, but I do believe there’s something to this. by @benbowlin

With immense gratitude and profound adoration of an impeccable career, I am reporting the passage of a Genuine Legend. Known to some as The Colonel, to others as Jimmy Jones, to still others as Operation: VORTOMAX or in later years simply as “Mr. Jackpots”, the Cat of One Thousand Names has passed away. His passage was peaceful, as all things must be. @suprachib and I were technically his direct reports — yet we all know how it goes in this game. He advised us as much as we advised him. His reviews, while glowing, were little more than paperwork.

In his wake he leaves innumerable questions regarding the role of felines in international policy, a great deal of bird crimes, open questions about his activities in prisoner exchange, and above all a love for any of you that would have given him a snack under duress.

Let it be a matter of public record: we’ve no real idea what he got up to on his various excursions. These United States have a standing law against the imprisonment of him or those like him.

And now he is dead. Joined with his brother, the fellow Operator Dr. Venkman, the Cat of One Thousand Names is beyond the jurisdiction of Humans and G-ds alike.

His service is a study in statecraft, especially his pivotal role in shitting upon flowerbeds of diplomats.

May his memory be a blessing. by @benbowlin

Just your average evening-to-evening cryptid, blurrily caught walking on hooves at @highmuseumofart.

Surveillance footage later disappeared. Curators confirm all artifacts remain in place, though some now appear to “sing” in the night. Investigation ongoing.
