“How To Get Through The Darkest Night”

Sometimes the title comes first.
When I started making these kits and wondering what I’d do inside the empty plastic frames, I kept thinking of the instructional design of how to put something together… literally the instructions, the ‘how-to-ness’ of a boxed object that arrives with everything you’d need to put it all together… it has the potential to happen.
So this ‘how to’ kit became an object of potential.
Everything needed already exists.

My exhibition Fun & Games is coming to @straitjacket_artgallery in a week’s time.
See new works in textiles, alongside elements of wood, porcelain, metals and probably plastic.
