It's that time of the year again!

Every year, on the 29th day of September, my father and my friend, Nze Ben Okorie JP (Eziokwu bu ndu 1 of Otampa) adds a new feather to his now feather-laden age cap.

Nze, I thank God for the gift of your life and for the privilege of having you as not only my father, but also my friend. As you grow older, my prayer is that God will continue to grant you good health, peace, strength and fulfilment.

I also pray that He gives me the grace and ability to make your life even more pleasant, comfortable and fulfilling as the years go by.

Seeing our traditions celebrated with such pride and elegance during the IkeJi Arọ reminds us of the richness of our heritage and the importance of preserving it for generations to come.

Such a beautiful, beautiful festival.

The Mayor of Isuikwuato Local Government Area and Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Abia State, Hon. Chinedu Ekeke, hosted the Leaders’ Breakfast Series at the Abia State Leadership Academy.

During the session, Mayor Ekeke shared experiences and lessons from his own journey, offering participants an opportunity to learn from his experiences and gain practical perspectives on life, leadership and personal development.

The Abia State Leadership Academy was established by the administration of Governor Alex Otti to deepen the ideals of service, value creation and excellence among young people across the state.

This was during yesterday's hymn before the sermon. 🎶

Can you guess the hymn title or number? 😊

I'm privileged to serve in the Media Department. It's a blessing to use my skills to support the work of God's Kingdom and help share the Gospel.

How about you? Which department do you serve in at your church? If you don't serve yet, which department would you love to join? taken in Christ Methodist church world bank housing estate Umuahia by @bencraft_

Breakdown of ₦3.6 billion that has been spent so far by the SEDC:

₦2.5 billion: Categorized in the commission's financial report under "implied expenditure". Lawmakers have rejected this classification and demanded specific project verifications.

₦153 million: Allocated and spent entirely on renting a one-room liaison office for the commission in Abuja.

₦947 million: Disbursed for other general operational startup costs, staff costs, and initial administrative logistics during the commission's launch phase.

_____________________________________________

With such humongous sums of money, SEDC should be pointing at results, and not explaining. All they did today was explain and explain and explain.
