First day at the Nürburgring was amazing! We didn’t do many miles, but watch a ton of track action.

The cars and atmosphere here is really something else.

Waiting our turn.

I don’t see any other GP1’s but ran into plenty of other Mini owners.

Massive queue all afternoon to get back on track.

Bad crash right in front of us at Brünnchen

Walked through the woods to see Karussell and couldn’t actually get to it but ended up right alongside the straight at 14km marker.

Stockholm trip with my Dad and Brother.

Just a short tip but we packed in plenty of sights. Walked most of the city and old town.

Boat trips. Scooter rides, Vasa Museum, Meatballs and plenty of bars.

Driving to Switzerland from Annecy was amazing.

We covered Annecy, Chamonix, Martinez, Furka Pass and on to Andermatt.

The next morning I headed out early to drive the passes for a coupe of hours and did a few laps of the Furka Pass and Grimsel Pass.

We then headed on to Gruyère via the Susten Pass where we ran into the Swiss Mini Maniacs owners club and a GP2.

Awesome roads and views.

100% going back in the Mini.

My fastest lap of the day.

The only fully clear lap too. This was just after lunch and I can see from the lines that there are improvements to be made.

Loads left in the tank and I’m looking forward to getting back out there.

Family fun day out at @doningtonpark watching the @minichallengeclubsport final.

The trucks, pick ups and Hondas were all fun, but the Minis are what we came for.

The best bit about the day was the open paddock. Being able to walk around, see the cars and meet the teams.

Big shout out to @chrisjj_r53 and @laurenfletch_16 @nt219motorsports for taking the time to speak with us and give Lily some advice for getting into motorsport

Maybe they have a junior member in the future.

Everyone was really friendly. The kids loved it and we will certainly be back again next year.

Mont Blanc blew me away!

It was like being on another world. Not at all what I was expecting. Far too many great photos to post.

We day tripped to Chamonix from Annecy and even at the ticket desk I didn’t know what I was getting.

The cable car up and down was worth the trip alone.

The views from the top were spectacular.

A trip across the glacier into Italy for lunch was awesome. We even met some of the Italian armed forces out on training.

On the way back we stopped off at 2500 meters to walk in the meadows and saw a glacial lake, golden eagles and a pair of marmots (and a “local” brewed beer too)

Top tip if you are going is to take pastries up for the panoramic cable car to Italy. Snacks at 4800m high are very much needed.

Julys track days. 3 dates at Donington. 2 of them in one week.

The car has had quite a transformation recently with a whole new rear and set up. Alloy Training arms. Adjustable rear arms. New sticky tyres. New calipers, pads , wheel bearings all round.

It’s made a huge difference to the drive.

The final piece is that I now have a trailer, so any future mods can be a bit more track focused. Not that the car sees the road much anyway.

Surprise car day after our plans got cancelled.

Lots of jobs ticked off and we are back in 4 wheels once again.

Fresh brake ducts gone in, along with alloy trailing arm conversion, adjustable rear arms for both camber and toe and new brake callipers all round.

I’ve even re-fitted the arch liners as I’m sick of pulling out gravel and rubber after every track session.
