GROBSCHNITT
Discovering this German band couple years back was a game changer for me and a reminder why I love buying records. I discovered there drummer’s solo albums under the name Eroc maybe one year after. Coincidentally but not surprising @foundsoundrecords was the location for these discoveries… Their songs never feel complete and they fall in and out of epic movie sounding moments. Its hard to show one song i like its more of the albums in whole that give me the experience i love! Similar to the live performance I found on youtube from 1978. Whats crazy to me is the imagery and theatrics used in the live show, it has very pre-death metal vibe to it. From little I know of that genre Germany has a large heavy black/death metal scene who seem to give major focus on the same theatrics and imagery, wonder if this bands performances had any influence on the genre. In Eroc’s solo albums there is definitely a more slow pace/berlin school vibe to them and the Random standup comedy skits scattered throughout each album make the best moments turn awkward fast. I like to think they made their projects like this to turn off any commercial listeners or ppl who don’t care about the moments of sound but rather the song in a complete package. If my taste in music is similar to yours I would give these albums a try.

Update on the Lynn Anderson rescue situation no one asked about! Ms. Anderson has been successfully rescued from the horrific goodwill conditions she was trapped in. Surrounded by dust, asbestos and neil diamond christmas sing alongs. I found her dirty, looking tired, confused, and with old candy wrappers stuck to her. Her first day home was rough for all of us, she had brown hard poop crust stuck on tracks B1-B3 not allowing her to play. Her voice we much needed was substituted with hard crackles and skips, she couldnt get one word out. We thought this may be it, she may not make it much further. Miami has been rough on Lynn but we couldn’t give up on her! The last resort was a doctor visit to found sound records where theyre havin an amazing christmas sale all summer long and was able to give her one hell of a bubble bath! Now lynn anderson is singing beautifully! Surrounded by her new friends lorretta lynn, ernesst tubbs, & ralph stanley! Lynn Anderson... you are home now....

Good prog, very Stone Gardeny. Walpurgis was recommend by Evan many years ago i heard it then and didnt like it for some reason. Also again at the shop like 2 years ago and swore only 1 track was good. Played it 3 times this week at shop it smokes! I like the whole thing basically. The Karthago had the Ultimate Thule price sticker so had to give a ear, its cool got a few good breaks some funky prog moments some epic rock prog moments 2 lp. These both scratch my euro prog itch. by @bending_shelves
