i’ve always been inspired by michel gondry and recently by joe pease. they always remind me that repetition is underrated .. or at least i haven’t rated it properly. but no more! so - ive been experimenting with some of the visual language those two have mastered and it’s been a fun frustrating experience. here’s experiment one. love to and heavily inspired by joe pease. by @bendylansloan

As a veteran Sensory Percussion artist, drummer/producer @bendylansloan (The National, Moses Sumney) is no stranger to performing solo. So he was right at home performing a set of brand-new original compositions at our Sensory Overload Presents: VOLUMES event last September. Using the drums to control everything from bird calls to synth plucks to vocal chops, these pieces blend Ben’s percussive prowess with his signature glitchy production techniques.
