Ommmggg my first reel!!!! Woo hoooo and how befitting. It’s capturing my amazing birthday celebration last weekend. Surrounded by genuine love and support while I elevate. What more can a Queen ask for. Thank you to all who came through and showed some love. I greatly appreciate you. We also partied with a purpose. This month I’m also raising money for @mahp_ma an org I’m affiliated with. We’re close to reaching our goal of $500. If you’d like to contribute simply go to the website and donate there. I will be matching the final donation at the end of the month. Blessings all. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME #ariesseason #wethebest #partywithapurpose #mahp #supportinghaitianfamilies #massachusetts #education ☺️☺️☺️🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾💖💖💖🎉🎉🎉💫💫💫💫 taken in Del Frisco's Grille by @benevolentbuilder

IT IS WITH GREAT humility and joy that I present to you all Haiti Partners Initiative. Within the past year alone, so many issues have deterred and plagued the island of Ayiti and many have struggled in finding credible and effective ways to support in some way. Our goal is not to reinvent the wheel or start an additional nonprofit but instead provide good soil to plant effective seeds for productivity and be a connector to existing entities in Haiti and it’s people with resources and support that they are in need of. Our focus and mindset is on moving the country forward and contributing to stability as opposed to being overwhelmed or stuck with the obstacles that lie ahead. As there are many issues and problems in the world that affect the black diaspora, including in our own backyard, being of Haitian descent and always having a deep routed love and connection to the beautiful island of Ayiti, focusing on the productivity and advancement of Haiti has naturally always been a part of my DNA. We believe in moving in offense instead of defense. We are a continued work in progress but our goal is to focus on the following sectors including business, education, mental health, and training. We are excited for those entities who have already collaborated with us and have many upcoming ways you can join in to support during this holiday season, so please stay tuned to learn more. Thank you all in advance. Peace and blessings!!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🇭🇹🇭🇹🌎🌍💫💫💫 taken in New Initiative by @benevolentbuilder

FIRST NIGHT in Istanbul, Turkey for my mini stay while in transit to go back home from Saudi in February 2020 (again covid still not a major issue yet). Took the liberty of getting on their Metro and exploring a little of their night life and explore I did. There was ALOT going on during their late nights— city wide awake close to midnight and beyond. Love to see, explore, and live it. Put Istanbul on my bucket list since having long layovers at their airports were so live and diverse, I could only imagine how the actual city was and they for sure did not disappoint. Would love to visit again!!!! #solotraveling #extendedtransit #buckelist✅ #istanbul #istanbulnights #nevertoolate #thankful #grateful taken in Taksim, Istanbul, Turkey by @benevolentbuilder

ONLY THE BEST FOR THIS QUEEN…. Reminiscing on celebrating my Royal UK/Jamaican sis while living abroad for her bday on January 8th of 2020 before we all knew about the Big C (pre-covid). In Saudi, there’s only one way to celebrate— in pure opulence!!! ✨✨✨ Only she can have me coming out with my head wrapped (between hairstyles) as she’s well worth it and always deserves the sun, the moon, and stars too. Love you and miss you @jajools ALWAYS— my literal sis and lifesaver from across the pond!!! Blessings boo 🎂🎂💐💐🥰🥰🥰💫💫💫💫 taken in The Mansion by @benevolentbuilder

IT’S BEEN A LONG TIME but before we move forward to greatness, let’s highlight some great moments throughout this year. After starting the New Year with hosting my first live ever celebrating Haitian Independence Day and culture, on January 2nd we continued celebrating by hosting my first ever Virtual Read Along of my book to the Black and Brown Girls Book Club!!!! Had such a great time sharing Merlyne’s story with the Young Queens and they had so much amazing questions and insightful input through our time together. Special thanks to Dr. Charmaine Jackson @askdrcharmain for the invite and all of the other parents who joined us as well. You know we couldn’t end without playing some Caribbean tunes. Great times and good vibes!!!! 👸🏾👸🏾📚📚💖💖🏝🏝🥰🥰💫💫💫💫 by @benevolentbuilder

11 YEARS AGO on a Tuesday like today at 4:53PM, the hearts and spirits of Haitians around the world were shocked and effected by the catastrophe that took place on the island. The aftermath would be unbearable but yet today, over a decade later we still rise as a nation and a people. We will never forget this day— the lives lost and affected, and also how we came together and survived. Ayiti Cherie— we stand with you, we love you, and will always remember.
