Life is full of colour and each of us get to come along to add our own colour into this painting. Even though the painting is not very big, you sort of have to figure that it goes on forever, in each direction, to infinity.
When I was painting, I was thinking may be I should draw something up here, and then down here. That's my part of the painting. Then I started to think, well, what if we’re all in the painting, everywhere? And what if we’re in the painting before we’re born? What if we’re in it after we die? These colours are kept adding onto the painting. Eventually they are on top of one another. Until a point we are not even different colours but just one thing, one piece of painting. Some people have been departed from our life physically, but they are still with us every day in this painting.
That's kind of like life and it really crazy if you think about it.

So I have turned 28 today, a step closer to 30th. As you grow older, birthday doesn't seem to be a very special day. Especially when you have a lot of stuff to do at work you just can't afford to take a day off. On the bright side, I will be back in South Island next week, totally looking forward to it.

We can only climb the mountains because there’s a valley that makes the mountain a mountain.

Shanghai has changed a lot. I'm pretty impressed with all the high rise and those old districts.

Didn't manage to finish the countdown post before the end of 2018 😂 and waking up late in 2019 makes it even worst.
2018 was another hectic year. I'm blessed with a lot of things. It always feel weird when the year number is an odd number. Looking forward to the new challenges and all the traveling plans in 2019. •

# 2 This is probably one of my favourites photos in 2018. You don't realise how small human is when you are standing next to the waterfall.

What I see in Nature is a magnificent structure that we can comprehend only very imperfectly, and that must fill a thinking person with a feeling of humility. This is a genuinely religious feeling that has nothing to do with mysticism.

# 5 Never knew Rotorua can be so much fun, especially the weather was so perfect throughout the Labour weekend. •

# 6 Finally an Astro photo in the countdown. I am so lucky to live in a place where the milky way is so easily to be seen.
