It’s been such an honor to tell Dr. Noguchi’s life story through our documentary — Coroner to the Stars. I’m thrilled to see his legacy reaching even more people with the new Broadway musical Dead Outlaw which is nominated for seven Tonys.

Thanks to the @nytimes for highlighting the documentary in this piece written by Matt Stevens.

Tomorrow's screening of @coronertothestars at @braindeadstudiosfairfax in L.A. will be extra special.

I'm incredibly grateful that my colleague @jonlovett will be moderating the Q&A. We'll also be joined by L.A. County Supervisor @supjanicehahn, who appears in the film alongside archival footage of her father, Sup. Kenneth Hahn, whose support of Dr. Thomas Noguchi became an important part of this story.

If you haven't had a chance to see the film yet, I’d love to see you there.

🎬 Wednesday, July 8
📍 Brain Dead Studios (611 N Fairfax Ave)
🕗 8:00 PM screening + Q&A

The evening will also feature a curated pre-show from @nightflightofficial.

Grateful to @variety for this wonderful piece on "Coroner to the Stars" by Marlow Stern.

Seeing Dr. Thomas Noguchi's story reach a wider audience has been surreal. When I first began this documentary over a decade ago, I never imagined we'd be traveling the country with the film and sharing Dr. Noguchi’s incredible story with so many audiences.

At 99 years old, Dr. Noguchi is still as sharp, curious, and inspiring as ever. It's been an incredible honor to share his story with the world.

Come see the film in a theater near you!

THIS WEEK, @coronertothestars opens in select theaters around the country as part of the "Tell It Like It Is" Tour.

There are multiple opportunities to see the film in Los Angeles and throughout Southern California, as well as several stops along the East Coast.

It's hard to believe that a documentary that began more than a decade ago is finally making its way to general audiences for this special theatrical run.

If you're able, please support this truly independent film by attending a screening near you and/or helping spread the word to friends, family, and anyone who might be interested.

I'll be joining for several screenings and participating in Q&As alongside special moderators and some familiar faces from the film.

Hope to see you there!

Don't miss #CoronerToTheStars opening 6/23 in Los Angeles and expanding nationwide. Tickets on sale now at www.coronertothestars.com. Featuring filmmaker @benhethcoat and special moderators.

The extraordinary life and controversial career of Dr. Thomas Noguchi, the former Los Angeles County Chief Medical Examiner-Coroner whose celebrity autopsies forever shaped American culture. From Marilyn Monroe and Robert Kennedy to Sharon Tate and Natalie Wood, Dr. Noguchi's death investigations pushed forensic science into the spotlight — even as Hollywood elites and political adversaries sought to silence him. A Japanese American who unwittingly rose to fame in a city driven by stardom, Noguchi's commitment to “tell it like it is” often put him within the crosshairs of controversy.
