It’s been a ridiculously long time coming - but I have some new pieces in the works. This is also my last few weeks at home with my current set up (I’m currently painting in the doorway of my bedroom ahah). But I’ll have more space (and time) to paint soon !🤞🏻 by @benjaminashtonart

The Bean is probably the most internationally recognisable piece of art in Chicago. It’s a polished metal sculpture that sits to the edge of the city loop and it’s one of many many outdoor art installations the city has to offer. I painted this piece pretty much just using leftover colours from my first Chicago study.

Chicago was one of the best cities I’ve ever been to, unexpectedly so. I decided to do a couple of mini pieces to test whether I should do bigger pieces! This is the first one and I love it 👌🏻

‘New light’ is an Australian-esque landscape. I’ve always loved the combo of pink sky and green grass and it looks especially good in a frame!!
