Close your eyes to go places 🫣 love this bass intro Swampy gone and did on Catch the Fire. Pollen EP . #australianmusicscene by @benjaminvanjole
Last year I found myself in a state of toxic comfort, too stuck in my ways to see that the things making life easier were actually making me worse off in the long run. Thankfully I gained some awareness to the fact, aided by the influence of some dear to me people. Still working shit out, but who isn’t. Everything today is geared towards comfort, pain numbing and ease - climate control, binge TV, Uber eats, phones / media consumption, drugs, alcohol - we’re constantly dosed up on things that make us more docile, and easier to squeeze into acceptance of societal norms that makes little sense to human nature, with a million ways to kill time and numb the pain of unfulfillment. Dosed is the first track of the EP, and it’s a fk u to anyone whose goal is to make you believe in the mirror so you never find better. Hope you enjoy it - we do. Interstate photoshoots are hard, but huge thanks to @braydendoig for capturing the band in Swampy’s garden, and @35mmmckenzie for the bench seat shot 🫶 EP cover by @nikitaaoliver ✨ . . . #newmusic #psychrock #dosed #newmusicfridays by @benjaminvanjole
Stoked to share our new EP Pollen with you today - stream it where ya like, or buy it on Bandcamp if you’re inclined. Massive thanks to all of you who continue to support us, especially in this weird year where I (Daniel) am travelling and we aren’t gigging. Putting out music is cathartic for us, and if it resonates with anyone in any meaningful way, it is equally as meaningful to us that it did so. Huge thanks to @marlyluske who produced the title track at @alchemixstudios, and also mixed and mastered the whole EP - you’re a legend man. Thanks as well to @ni_cnussy, for capturing the moment on camera in the best way every time. We went into this recording date having played the song a sum total of 4 times, which in hindsight, I wouldn’t recommend haha, but hey, after some overdubs and studio magic, it all worked out. This is one of the sections that kinda lines up with the final version of tune. We’ll be gigging again next year, but until then, we hope ya enjoy this EP and stay peeled for more new tunes coming soon 🫶 Big love by @benjaminvanjole

Ladies and gentlemen… Welcome to handball. by @benjaminvanjole
It's been one hell of a ride, but The Holy Rollercoasters have decided to hang up the gloves. 8 years of rehearsing, recording, film/photo shoots, gigs around town, and even a few festivals. The music holds a special place within me, and performing it live with 7 other rad humans has left me with some incredible memories. So what's the good news? You can see us perform our new album + a bunch of the old favs tonight at The Cave Inn. We've got support from Adjoa and Stressed Leisurewear so get on down. Doors at 6:30pm and it kicks off at 7pm. See 🎟 info below! https://events.humanitix.com/the-last-gig-and-album-launch-of-the-holy-rollercoasters?fbclid=IwQ0xDSwMV6eRleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHvPcH8LdIplHTEG3f8cnuI_bq03W-9poirDhS4b6WaZTR2JS_qwc7nT2EFeI_aem_N3RYmBwoEJxMfcNoo1pOFg by @benjaminvanjole
