When we made the decision to run, it was purely on FAITH and a genuine love for the institution in which we intend to serve. This campaign season has been one of trials and tribulations, but yet, we continued to remain steadfast in LEADERSHIP. Today, the student body will make their final decision on who they want to represent them on the administrative level. Win, Lose, or Draw, we remain steadfast in our commitment to faith, integrity, respect, service, and trust. #McDonaldxCerneForSGA by @benjmdavis

I have officially departed Washington, D.C. and in the process of returning from an unforgettable experience in our nation’s capital, where I had the privilege of standing shoulder to shoulder with over 200 student leaders (Student Body Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Senators) from across the country at the Campus Victory Project Conference. Schools like Harvard, FSU, FAMU, Duke, Arkansas, and the University of Colorado were in the room, but so was Bethune-Cookman University.

As Executive Secretary of @bcu_sga and a proud Wildcat, I represented our campus in high-level conversations about leadership, civic engagement, budgeting, legacy development, and the role student government plays in shaping real change. This wasn’t just a networking trip, it was a moment of reflection, strategy, and action.

During our time in D.C., I met with top officials including Education Secretary Linda McMahon, Veterans Affairs Secretary Doug Collins, as well as other high level White House staffers. We explored how federal policy meets student needs and what it means to lead with both purpose and principle.

Bethune-Cookman has always been rooted in vision and service. I left Washington not just inspired, but equipped. Equipped to return and elevate what we do here on campus with a sharper lens, stronger connections, and a deeper understanding of how Wildcats can lead not just locally, but nationally.
