“21 Weeks” is out now.

This is the hardest song I’ve ever released.

My wife and I went into an ultrasound expecting to find out whether our baby was a boy or a girl. Instead, we learned that we had lost our baby.

For me, one of the hardest things to understand afterward was that I wasn’t only grieving our child. I was grieving an entire lifetime I had already started imagining.

Teaching them things. Picking them up when they fell. Getting a call someday because their car broke down. Watching them grow up.

Memories that never happened, but somehow still felt real enough to lose.

“21 Weeks” came from trying to put words around that.

How do you say goodbye to somebody you never got the chance to say hello to?

Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

If you’ve experienced this kind of loss, I hope this song makes you feel understood for a few minutes. And if you love somebody who has, maybe it can help you understand a little more of what they carry.

This song started as ours.

Today, I hope it can belong to anyone who needs it.

“21 Weeks” is available everywhere now. 🤍

👣 Some footprints never fade from our hearts. ❤️
Today, Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, we honor the babies who left us far too soon and the families who carry their love every day.
For our family, that love has a name: Colton.
Although Colton isn’t here with us physically, we feel his spiritual presence every day. He remains close to our hearts, woven into our family and the purpose behind Brown Boys Benefit.
That’s what makes our co-branded apparel with Waggle and UNRL so meaningful to us. Those little footprints are a reminder of Colton, of the love that never leaves, and of the families we’re committed to supporting.
Seeing our community wear them means more than we can put into words. You’re helping carry his memory forward while supporting families with babies in the NICU. ❤️
To every parent remembering a baby today: your baby matters. Your love matters. And you are not alone.
Today, we hold Colton—and all the little ones we’re missing—close to our hearts. Always. 👣🕯️ by @benjohnsoncountry

This picture was taken on one of the hardest days of our lives.

Earlier that day, we had gone in expecting to find out whether our baby was a boy or a girl. Instead, at 19 weeks (“21 weeks until we’re due”) we got the news that something was wrong.

That night, we already had plans to see Cody Johnson at the Cabooze. So we went.

We smiled. We took this picture. We stood in a room full of people listening to country music while trying to process something neither of us knew how to process yet.

Looking at this picture now is strange, because you would never know what had happened just hours before. You wouldn’t know what was going through our heads, or what the days and weeks that followed would look like.

Years later, I wrote a song about that day and everything that came after it. None of the story in “21 Weeks” was invented. The waiting room, the doctor’s face, the things I thought about, the questions I asked myself afterward — they all came from our life.

I’ve carried this song for a long time, and on October 15 — Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day — I’m finally going to share it.

The last 2 years my January has looked (and felt) a whole lot better because I've taken a vacation south of the border called "PT on the Playa"!! We've made memories with old friends, and I'm proud to say we've met some new ones too--All in the name of supporting mental wellness through the @livinfoundation!!

This year, my buddy @shanemartinband is joining our friend @benjohnsoncountry, so there won't be a microphone or pool we don't like between the 3 of us!

Private concerts, catamaran cruises with live music, pool time, beach time, alone time (yes, you make your OWN schedule--Vacay YOUR way!)...FUN time!

There's already over 30 people coming again THIS January, but there's only TWO weeks left to register and get signed up!! So....why NOT join us!!???

Hope to see you in Cancun Jan 15-19th!! @tvlleaders

And the location for the 3rd annual PT on the Playa is....Cancun!! We are heading back to where it started to get into the beautiful blue water of the Caribbean, and this time we aren't just bringing one artist... we're bringing TWO!! Both @benjohnsoncountry AND @shanemartin.musician are excited to head to Mexico with us and provide the soundtrack for some relaxation & Fun in the Sun! Jan 15-19th 2026 are the dates, and YES, we have a 7 day option as well 😉

Remember this trip benefits the @livinfoundation because @tvlleaders makes a donation back to #LIVIN for ANYONE that travels with them and comes as a referral through us...in fact they donated almost $6k for travel over the last year!! Awesome!!

@royaltonchiccancun looks like a perfect location for a little "Vacay Your Way!" and we've heard that Cancun is a pretty amazing place to be....especially in mid-January 😎
We hope to see you there!
