Due to unforeseen circumstances, @therealdjhal will be unable to join us at @coil.melbourne on the 21st of August, instead of cancelling the party, we found a more than worthy replacement! A selector admired by his peers and someone who we have been very eager to hear for a very very long time! Londons very own @kleanthouskleo

Hailing from North London, Kleo’s reputation for powerful underground music continues to grow apace, he has been honing the deep, moody and melodic style for which he has become know for nearly 30 years. Kleo’s sets reflect a variety of styles, ranging from the more electronic side of deep-house and vocal tracks, through to techno & acid house. A bit more tech, and a little less house…..

Before leaving London Kleo has continued to play at a variety of parties around London, including Wiggle and Kerfuffle and now devotes much of his time to his own productions on Kleek Recordings.

Since moving to Australia 9 years ago Kleo has weaved his sets on many dance floors quietly gaining the respect of discerning music lovers and party goers.

We will aim to reschedule DJ Hal, but for now strap yourselves in for the journey of a lifetime with Kleo! by @benkennedy97

Bags are packed for our next get-together at @rumbler_bar, Friday the 28th of November.

This time we’re joined by Slim @_caolan from @strictlywax and Ecuador’s @ssilviapponce.

Slim:

We’re super excited to host Dublin-born-and-bred Slim for his Australian debut. Known for his work under Strictly Wax, sharing and identifying records from his sought-after collection, Slim continues to impress. His recent mix on Kiosk Radio — which won Mix of the Day on Resident Advisor — is a testament to his creative ability as an artist.

Silvia:

After Silvia’s recent mix on The Cast, we’re delighted to have her join us on her second Australian tour.

Starting out with a small record collection in 2013, she began her DJ journey in Quito, becoming one of the very few women in the city’s electronic music scene. Now performing throughout Europe and featuring on respected platforms such as Kiosk Radio, The Lot Radio, Hör, and The Mudd Show to name a few.
Silvia continues to carve her path as a standout artist.

Gawnski:

Warming things up for the night, The Cosmic Cast OG Gawnski will be kicking things off.

Free entry all night.

This Friday, Ben & Gary aka Gawnski take the helm at @rumbler_bar, and they’re bringing a whole lot of heart (and records) with them.

Originally from Ireland and Scotland, the pair have built a strong friendship through years of digging, spinning, and sharing music together.

What started as a mutual love for records has grown into a partnership that’s become a real fixture in the Melbourne scene.

They’ll be serving up everything from $5-bin gems to deep Discogs discoveries — always with care, curiosity, and connection.

Their chemistry behind the decks is undeniable, and this week, they’re humbled to bring it to one of Melbourne’s finest vinyl-only spaces.

Come feel it for yourself — This Friday from 11PM - 1AM at Rumbler. Good records - Good energy - Good friends
