Today is the day. My new book is out now.

We Need to Talk… About Race: Christian Faith and Racial Justice – a young person’s guide is more than a book – it’s a tool, a conversation starter, and a challenge.

I wrote this because young people are not just the future – they’re the now. And far too often, they’re left without the language, space or theology to engage with the realities of racism in a way that is honest, empowering, and rooted in faith.

This guide takes complex issues around race, justice, identity, and Christianity and makes them accessible, real, and relevant for a new generation. Whether you’re a young person navigating these conversations or someone who works with them – youth leader, parent, teacher – this is for you.

At the heart of this book is the belief in a God who shows no favouritism – a God of justice. That truth should shape how we live, lead, and love.

Let’s stop avoiding the conversation. Let’s equip our young people to lead it.

Last night I hosted a free party for my friends and Brockley @croftonparktav. Days of Future Past 10 year reunion. At the start of the year I said I was going to do more things just for love of doing them. No agenda, just vibes. SE London you have my heart.

DAYS OF FUTURE PAST IS BACK!
10 years ago a night I was running once a month for 2 years called Days of Future Past abruptly ended. It was at a pub called Jam Circus which is now the @croftonparktav in Brockley, SE London. While watching the England Ghana game last week at the @croftonparktav my friend overheard them saying they wanted to do a DJ night there. It was 10 years that week that the night ended. God has a sense of humour. Shouts to all the people who made this the best night in south for 2 years. Anyway, if you fancy a free party with decent music then come along. No VIP ting. No guestlist. Just come to rave. See you there. ❤️✌🏾

We were privileged to welcome @benlindsayobe to our Racial Justice Lunch & Learn today.

Drawing on his experience as a community leader, researcher and founder of Power The Fight, Ben challenged us to consider how the Church can respond to issues of racial justice, social division and inequality with courage, humility and action. He spoke about the importance of cultural sensitivity as a posture of continual learning, building authentic relationships across communities, and using our influence to amplify the voices of those who are often unheard.

Reflecting on the example of Jesus’ servant leadership, Ben encouraged us not to be bystanders in the face of injustice, but to engage with our communities, challenge harmful systems, and work together to create lasting change. His message was a powerful reminder that faith calls us not only to pray for transformation, but to actively participate in it.
