What a great way to start preseason and our collaboration with Maidenhead United Football Club. An incredible turnout and the boys did really well to make this game competitive from start to finish. Can’t wait to start the season! 📸 @benmarlow #magpies #yorkroad taken in Ben&Jack Studio by @benmarlow

Only camera I have with me has a fixed 28mm lens so capturing the eclipse was always going to be difficult So I focused on the colours and the people #leicaq3 #eclipse #whateclipse taken in Bahía Dorada, Estepona by @benmarlow

Around 30 players. 40 minutes. One very busy camera. 📸 After the success of our kit launch campaign, we got the men’s first team back in front of the lens for their official player portraits. But we wanted to take these a little further than the standard football headshot. Drawing on my background in cinema and fashion videography, we went for something darker, more cinematic and editorial — portraits that wouldn’t look out of place in a magazine. The boys absolutely delivered… some more enthusiastically than others. 😂 And somehow, we got through around 30 of them in just 40 minutes. If your team or business needs corporate headshots, portraits — or something with a little more character — hit us up. 🎬📸 taken in Ben&Jack Studio by @benmarlow

After interviewing Stef Evans, I went home and wrote a song about her story. I never imagined that years later people would still be asking me about one lyric: “G.I. Joe riding a unicorn.” To me, it’s always been about refusing the idea that people have to fit into neat little boxes. You can be tough and gentle. Fierce and playful. You can wear army boots, get covered in mud, play rugby... and still love unicorns if you want to. So I asked Ella if she’d help me bring that lyric to life through a portrait. Massive thanks to Steph for sharing her story so honestly, and to Ella for trusting me with this idea. I’d love to know what the lyric means to you. 👇 If you’d like a portrait of your own, drop me a message. And if you’d like to learn how I create portraits like this, my photography course is linked in my bio. #PortraitPhotography #CreativePortraits #ConceptualPhotography #NoWomanNoTry #PhotographyStory PhotographerUK PortraitArtis by @benmarlow
