⚠️ Want to make your product sales go up?! ⚠️

Add limited edition numbering to your next product launch.

This simple marketing technique gives your consumers a sense of exclusivity and drives those sales. It breaks you free from the norm and “basic” trends out there.

The numbering is done through variable data printing and we do that here at Bennett 😉

Also a great way to test your market's response to a new flavor ✨. #WIN

Cold foil doesn’t get used nearly as often as it should.

It creates that true chrome, mirror-like finish you just can’t fake. You can get close with raised varnish over Metallic BOPP, but cold foil hits differently. It’s stamped directly onto the material, so what you see is what you get. No tinting it, no printing over it. Just raw, reflective impact.

It’s also one of the more expensive embellishments, so it has to make sense.

This was one of those projects where it absolutely did.

The Feral 170 run was wild from the start. It sold out fast enough that it had to be brought back not once, but twice just to keep up with demand. Every bottle is sequentially numbered, so no two are the same. That alone makes it special, but the finish is what really pushed it.

The “170” was such a dominant part of the design that using raised varnish over Metallic BOPP came with some risk, especially with that much surface area. Peeling becomes a real concern at that scale.

We looked at smoother spot varnish as a safer option, but it just didn’t have the same punch.

Natalie @bennettgraphicslabels suggested cold foil, and that changed everything. It did shift how the numbering interacted with the label, but the tradeoff was worth it. The chrome effect brought the entire concept to life, especially with the car-inspired direction.

If you look closely through these photos, you’ll actually see both approaches. The Crazy Purple versions use the cold foil, while the Afterburn run was switched back to Metallic BOPP with spot varnish. The difference is subtle, but once you notice it, it’s very distinct in how the light hits and reflects.

That contrast ended up being a really cool side-by-side of how different embellishment choices can completely change the feel of the same design.

It’s not something I’d use on every project, but when it fits, it really fits.

And this one? This one was worth it.
