Happy to share Use Your Wings by my good friend and collaborator, kerri. This album took shape over the course of year through a series of sessions, some of which were planned, but most of which were not. We created in the spirit of the moment sometimes joining for sessions with less than ten minutes notice and I think that is part of what makes this project so special. It’s organic, raw, and tapped in to the heart. I am grateful to have been able to add my support and perspective to this music and I’m super proud of kerri’s dedication, passion, and pure expression contained within these songs. Kicking & Screaming!! I truly love this record and the people that made it, @byekerri + @fraudperry .
This session was super organic and I’m so happy I could contribute to the process. It was just one of those nights where everything was working and a lot of the parts were recorded in 1-3 takes. We wrote and recorded the majority of this record at my spot in less than two hours while we just having fun and enjoying a summer night together and I think that feeling is imprinted in this song.
