Ten years ago I met Jay. Ten years later, on the same date, I married him. 19 March 2026.

We planned it for eighteen months. @theinvisiblehouse cancelled our wedding just ten days before. Double booked. No notice. We found @themorada instead, and it turned out to be exactly where we were meant to be standing. The team there went beyond to help us pull the whole thing together in a matter of days.

The word forever did not make it into our vows. Not because we won’t last. Because it is the one promise neither of us could honestly make. We built this on telling each other the truth, even when the truth stings. Everything good between us grew from that, and continues to grow.

What we were both unprepared for was the love of friendship. Gay men, or anyone in our LGBT+ community, learn early to live in two worlds, the one you are born into and the one you build. Jay and I were lucky enough to have parts of both in the room, but mainly the world we built. Sixty people flew across the world for five days in the desert. Most of them strangers to each other on arrival. New best friends by the time they left. We will never forget who showed up. We will never forget the love in that room. It was humbling beyond words.

These images are a few moments from one day of a week long celebration. All shot on film, all by @kirstyduchet_ , my long time friend, who needed no more brief than that. To our marriage celebrant and MC BFF @marijaivkovic. You were beyond perfection. As expected. Thank you.

I was never a believer in marriage. I am now. The right person is the one you would walk across broken glass for. The one you can also watch do it for you, without being asked. I do not want a single scene in the film of my life to play without @jay.sherborne in it. Even if it sometimes means there are thousands of kilometres between us.

What a man you are, Mister Sherborne. What a man you’ve made of me.

@thombrowne put a garden in the middle of New York and reminded us what a fashion show could feel like. 62 looks, a uniform that grew fur, a ladybird the size of a house, butterflies at the finale.⁠

It’s here. Heathermary Jackson and I have made a magazine. In a fashion world that feels mid-collapse, we chose to build something that celebrates the people still trying to push humanity, joy and love into the world. I’m beyond humbled to be co-owner and Editor-in-Chief.

And here she is. My first cover. Cora Corré. Wearing Moschino.

Cora, I couldn’t be more honoured to have you as the first. Your spirit is undeniable. Watching you step into the world as the charitable powerhouse you’re becoming is a privilege.

As Solange wrote in her piece: “She has a way of making you more honest with yourself without demanding a performance in return.”
