Went to see @l7theband last night on their Last Hurrah tour! Love these ladies to death! From seeing them at Liberty Lunch on Halloween, to a show at the Mohawk, to Fun Fun Fun Fest, and then as Camel Lips, they have always been amazing to see live! This tour is missing one of their OGs as bassist Jennifer Finch passed from cancer this year. Cancer is a fuckwad.

When I curated my first art show back in 2003, the magazine ROCKRGRL did a small feature on it and Jennifer emailed me and asked if she could be part of the show (as did Johnette from Concrete Blonde). I was thrilled!! Of course! So I showed some of her photographs alongside artwork from members of Hole, Lunachicks, Atari Teenage Riot, and more!

Jennifer and i didn’t meet in person until 2015 at FFF Fest when Benny and I got engaged on stage during Peaches set. It was good to finally meet her and say “thanks for being part of my little art show”.

I loved getting this photo with the ladies especially @suzi_gardner_official who I have always felt a connection with. No idea why. I’ve juat always adored her.

I would be an asshole if I didn’t mention what a bad ass job @tanakabaka did on bass last night. Holy shit!

Mucho mucho thank you to the ladies of L7 for so many decades of great music! We love yawl!

Ran to @bigtexcon this weekend to get this photo with @edwardfurlongofficial and Linda Hamilton. Benny looooooooooves Terminator 2 sooooo much so figured we needed to get this done.

Of course I had to bring along something to sign. Swipe to see the amazing artifact I brought.

Checked out @rolemodel the other night in Austin. What a fun show! It’s really nice to be surrounded by people having a good time and enjoying themselves. The world is fucked up so cherish these moments of connection and happiness. It’s definitely how I get through it all.

I’ve made the decision to go see @dermotkennedy next week here in Austin. We really love his music but I’m always a bit concerned about the incessant, mundane chatter of people during shows that have more of an acoustic element.

This is his latest record filled with leaves.

Once you’re in the cancer system, you’re never out of it.

From paid parking to non-stop fights with insurance companies and labs, it’s like what are we doing? I currently have four open cases with insurance where labs and docs are charging me for something insurance won’t cover.

I’ll keep fighting. I’ll keep opening disputes. I’ll drag the shit out. I’ll pay $1 a month. Ain’t worried about anything messing up my credit. I have what I need.

But I’m tired of being poked and prodded, goosed and dallied with. I keep trudging but I hate a system that makes billions in profits, charges for parking, won’t cover procedures, and then wants me to show my goddamned insurance card every month now. And I don’t get to just show it. I have to email it to someone. And insurance companies won’t even print a card for you anymore. But those rates keep climbing.

If I’m at my breaking point, I know others are.

In a throuple with this fine fella. He has no arms or legs but we are making it work. He’s a little grumpy at times but them’s the breaks I guess. He does have a beautiful smile though.

Met @dolphlundgren the other night at an event where he was promoting his book. One of the cool things was running into an old boss of mine who I always liked. He gave me a free gallery space to use for a year many moons ago. Can’t beat that.

Anyway, I almost got up to ask a question during the Q&A part, but there were some hardcore diehards and I thought I would let it be. Of course there’s always one weirdo. This guy decided he needed to let Dolph know about Jesus. Not the time. Not the place. I didn’t get up to tell Dolph he needed to know about being gay and to try it out. Why is it that christians need to shove their shit down everyone’s throats every time? Da fuq?

Wishing the glorious @katya_zamo all the best as she deals with health issues. She’s gotta get better because she is such a joy to have in the world!

This photo is from a show at the Paramount Theatre that our girl @michellevisage got us into. She thought I was crazy for coming that night since I just had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands that morning. With some light painkillers and a love for drag, nothing was going to stop me. We also attended a protest right before the show.

During this meet and greet with the queens, we approached Katya who was sitting on the stairs and asked for a photo. She asked me what happened to my hands and I told her it was a fisting accident. She understood.

Wishing a Happy 18th birthday to one of the sweetest divas we know @michellevisage

Not only is she visually stunning, talented af, and hilarious, she also has the most beautiful and open heart. We appreciate her friendship over the years since first meeting in 2014 when Benny and I were both still babies…..and the grey in Benny’s beard was minimal.

Hope you have a great birthday, Michelle!
